Finding Love on LIVE

Well I have been an Xbox LIVE® member for a little over three years. Just before Halo® 2 came along, I thought it would be a good idea to join a clan, so I could get into some properly organized competitive matches. So I joined a group of friendly gamers known as LoX (Legion of Xgamers). Many a fun time was had with this group.
Xbox LIVE plays cupid for DJ Mercenary and WildAngel1310.
Then one day a lady going by the Gamertag WildAngel1310 started to share a flat with the founding member of LoX. We started chatting on the clan forums and enjoying late night sessions of Halo 2, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon™ 2, Mortal Kombat® Deception, and many other LIVE titles, as well as spending hours and hours chatting on MSN Messenger. This continued for about a year and a half, until we were practically inseparable on Xbox LIVE! Then along came Xbox 360® with its awesome chat function, meaning that I could annoy her no matter what game she was playing (hee hee). At the time she lived in London, and I was living and working in North Yorkshire so there was a fair distance between us, meaning we'd never actually met in person (and considering how strongly I felt about her, this was a little disturbing for me).
Then the other love of my life (besides gaming) Arsenal Football Club, made it to the final of the Champions League, and I decided to throw a little gathering of friends at my place to watch the final on TV. I mentioned this to WildAngel with no thought of her actually coming, but she grabbed the opportunity with her hands, feet and teeth, and said, "Oooooo, I'm off work that day and the day after so I'll see you there." My heart started racing immediately (I got owned at Halo 2 all night after that), as we were finally going to meet!
Finding true love causes you to get killed a lot in Halo 2.
And so she came to pay me a visit for a couple of days, and I was blown away when I met her at the train station! She really WAS an angel, so I was a total gentleman and even warned my friends that they would be in trouble if they didn't do the same. It was like we'd known each other for years, we knew each other so well already. I had no intentions beyond being friends, but we just hit it off and of course, with me being totally irresistible :), the poor girl never had a chance. Within 48 hours, we were cuddled together and that first kiss will stay with me until the day I die.
So after waiting 18 months to meet the first time, it took just seven days before we met up again. It was a regular commute for me to London or for her to Yorkshire just so we could spend some time together. This carried on for six to eight months until she decided to start looking for another job. So I suggested she start looking a bit further north than London, and maybe we could get a place together. Well, being a girl that doesn't require very much encouragement, within a month she had a start date for a new job managing a clothing store in Yorkshire.
We found a very cool flat to rent, and set up home together. I ended up finding a new and better job in the same town as her new store. We are fast approaching our first anniversary of living together, and I really struggle to think of a time when I have been happier than I am right now. And it's all thanks to the awesome Xbox LIVE! (So awesome that even though we live together, she still has to send me a chat invite to get my attention.)
So a huge thanks to Billy Gates and all who keep the LIVE service running, and to all you lady gamers out there who take abuse from overly hormonal men on a daily basis! I promise we aren't all bad, so don't be afraid to give one of us a chance … you never know where it might take you. ;-)
