Halo 3 All-Nighter Recap

The latest All-Nighter on December 29 featuring Halo® 3 was a huge success! We had thousands of new players join us for some late-night action. Check out some of the community highlights and photos from this all-night frag-fest:
Well, my gamertag is SUR34L, and i played pretty much all night last night! lol. I played till about 5:00 a.m., only because i had a final to take this morning at 7!! lmao. But i basically tore it up last night with some buddies in hardcore and slayer … then they decided to peace and i dominated at some lone wolves! i started at a 20 i think, and after like 5 or 6 games i was a 24! i was playin with kids who typically all had higher ranks then me (in lone wolves. i was usually higher in over skill) … to tell the truth i had no idea there was an xbox.com "all-nighter" going on last night, i just noticed it online today! lol —SUR34L
When I saw the All-Nighter for Halo 3, I could not
wait to try it out. I met some awesome people online
and also made new friends.

Hi, I'm Darksoldier A.K.A Dark. I met a cool person called Awe4Some and some of his friends as guest in Matchmaking. I played for like 4 hours with them. I took a pic of us like a scene from the new title Assassian's Creed but it was on an Infection on Guardian. —Darksoldier
The Halo 3 All-Nighter was a well worthwhile for me. I mostly played social because that's what most people were on … I recorded a video of me on Valhalla. In my second life I pick up some plasmas … seea Banshee high in the sky … i take my chance and fly through the ManCannon … I throw my Plasma … splat and then BOOM … got it right in the wing. Appreciate the All-Nighter, it's about 5:30 a.m and im gonna keep on enjoying Halo 3. —iSnipeXx
This Picture was taken at about 3:00 AM, I was playing with my friend from work, Melford, as you can tell he was very tired and almost fell asleep on me at 18 kills in a custom game, but we managed to stay awake until dawn!! —Brian

My first time but not the last!! With 50,000+ more people online that night it was a blast!! I just got Halo 3 this holiday and also Xbox LIVE Gold and when I looked at the calendar of events and saw the all-nighter for Halo 3, I could not wait to try it out. I met some awesome people online and also made new friends. Sure I got schooled by dying every 5 seconds but hey that's my motto, "Win or Lose, Oh Well!" I started to get the the hang of it after 5 hours have passed! Xbox LIVE, I can't wait till the next one!! — Ryan2320

I hope you print this because this game has converted me into a casual gamer into something a bit more. I'm a first-time Xbox 360 owner and prior to owning the system and Halo 3, I didn't get the excitement over the Halo franchise. Well, playing last night changed my perspective. I didn't play all night but I played enough to know that I'm hooked. The story that I would like to share is that this was my first time playing Halo online and I played with a bunch of cool people from Scotland (Haggis to name one) and Louisanna (Southernkat). The idea to play with people from all over the world and create community is simply amazing. Anyway, they were really nice and allowed a newb, like myself, to join in on the carnage. I figured I would be mocked for lacking in skill, but they kept encouraging me and one said, "We're pretty much a bunch of wankers when it comes to this game." The guy who said this had a bunch of silver stars in his rank. I don't know what that means for Halo, but I know it has be something high. Suffice to say that I didn't contribute to the kill-count and died every other minute, but the online experience and the cool friends that I met continued to propel me back into action. I would contribute a picture but it would be me being fragged every other minute and a man has his limits … LOL. Thanks for reading. —Pat
The all-nighter was extremely fun. I met some really great people such as Enfadado Oso, General910, SilentKilla 1376, and Sk8ta bOyZ. We dominated on almost every map winning by at least 30 every game. I got mad killing sprees and even a double laser kill on standoff. I started playing as soon as the sun set at 7 and didn't stop until 2 when my mom came up to my room and unplugged everything. Also, me and the people above created this really intense map on foundry. The map is kind of like a court that knights used to battle in, it's really fun. —grr 27
The last Halo 3 all-nighter I (thekow10120) hooked my Xbox 360 to the projector at the local movie theater! Here is a pic of the Master Chief on the big screen. I would be willing to bet that very few people have done that. The picture isn't great because I took it on my cell phone. —thekow10120
