Crackdown All-Nighter

The most recent Xbox All-Nighter took place on St. Patrick's Day and featured Crackdown™. We got a lot of great emails detailing the carnage … and none of it involved leprechauns or corned beef. Read on for the details.

I just got to make a new friend and beat every boss in co-op with him in Crackdown, thanks to the All-Nighter!

Yep, I got two new Achievements unlocked as part of the fun!

After browsing the Xbox.com forums, I came across a guy's message that said he was looking to beat everything like I was. Luckily, he added me, because this guy was awesome and tore up the bosses faster than I could get to them (except for the final boss, Wang, I got to him first and defeated him.) I honestly believe that I would not have had done all of the co-op stuff so fast, but this guy was amazing! It was cool because we both had our stats maxed out and had all the weapons, so we jumped and shot rockets and we got through it all in about 40 minutes.

Thank you Xbox® for organizing this Crackdown All-Nighter event, because I had a lot of fun, made a new friend that helped beat every mission in co-op with me, raised my gamerscore by 50 points, and unlocked two Achievements! And thanks to Laseau for all the help.

My friend Sathias played with me for around 7 or 8 hours. We randomly would run through Time Trials and we also hunted for orbs. We also created our own Agent fighting mini-game that involved seeing who could kick who off the roof of the big mansion in Los Muertos. It was a blast. We also created a car sculpture on a sign on the Interstate. After we finished the pile of cars, Sathias fired an entire salvo from the Firefly into the pile and we watched it scatter over the bridge and surrounding area.

My Crackdown All-Nighter was shared with my nephew, visiting from out of town. He likes blowing stuff up when playing video games, so naturally he really likes Crackdown. On St. Paddy's night, he started by playing a bit on my game save, then he wanted to start the game for "real." So we cranked up the memory card and got him going on his own game. Lots to do when you just start out, so I'm giving him some pointers on getting the orbs, and driving around the map, stuff like that.

Uncle went to bed around then, so I'm not sure how long he stayed up, but when we played the next night, he had 3.2 stars on his strength … he loves to karate chop the bad guys. He and his dad watch those el cheapo Kung Fu movies you get at the discount stores on "guys night," so I'm sure that had something to do with it.

It was very cool to have my nephew over, he's at the stage where he doesn't talk much, but sit him in front of the video games (sans parents) and the words start to flow.

So it was a good St. Patrick's Day at my house.

I just bought Crackdown on Wednesday, but I had to work all week and didn't get a chance to really play it, so what a better way to break it in than with an Xbox All-Nighter! Not being 21, I didn't want to be around drunks all day, so I woke up at 8am on Saturday and started playing and played for 24 hours straight. I accomplished a lot of achievements and beat the game on psychotic difficulty numerous times. I enjoyed the new character downloads as well, to me, they look way cooler than the other ones. Later on I bought pizzas and I invited some friends over for a little co-op destruction and a little pwning which was just as fun. By the end of the 24 hours I was a pretty good Crackdown player to say the least. This was my first Xbox All-Nighter and it was great and I can't wait for the next one!

Me and my brother Jonny Mango started to play Crackdown at about 9 P.M., after many long awaited battles with the kingpins we got the co-op achievement, the driving achievements, the roof top races, and we are still continuing to search for orbs … after about 4 energy drinks and a crazy amount of achievements gained. We decided to end it all at about 7 A.M. Call us crazy but we played almost 10 hours of straight Crackdown. Now that's how all-nighters are done.

I stayed up eight hours playing Crackdown and beating the game all the way through with my fellow friend DrkAngelX2. It only took eight hours of running and jumping around to beat the game beginning to end for us. It was crazy but worth the Achievement points. We started at 9 P.M. and went till 5 A.M. I guess we went the distance on this All-Nighter. Thank god we got Xbox 360™ for all of us non-drinkers. It was a St. Patrick's Day well spent.

I started playing Crackdown around 4:45 P.M. EST. My goal at the beginning was to gain 100 gamerscore points. I managed to get 140. I got the following achievements: Firing squad, Double Trouble, Shai-gen Intel Master, It's good to be connected, Car Juggler, Mad Bomber, Agency Explosive Expert, and Agency Marksman. I had help with a few of these from co-op partners, like Shai-gen Intel Master. Anyway, I had a great time. Thank you Xbox for having this event and having such a great online service, and thank you Realtime Worlds for making Crackdown a killer game.

I started playing Crackdown around 9:00 P.M. and I joined this guy named MATASCI. He was new at the game. Probably got it a couple of days ago, and I had just gotten the Master Agent achievement. I told him I would help him kill every single gang leader in every city. I started out by giving him a homing rocket launcher at the beginning of the game. He wasn't very good with it and just blew himself and everything around him up. Pretty soon he had the cops and gang hit squads on our tails. After all that was over we started out on your killing spree and at about 3:00 A.M. we had killed every gang leader and beat the game. After we beat the game, I helped him get a couple more achievements and we became friends. We stopped at around 5:00 A.M.
