Eragon is all about teamwork. Even before you get to ride your mighty dragon into battle, you still have to rely on your friends to keep you alive.

Combat Tips
The Headshot Arrow is the backbone of your offense. Use it whenever possible to drop enemies quickly. This single attack can mean the difference between a relatively painless journey and a difficult grind. Wedging is another important technique to master, but remember not to rely on it exclusively. Your friend Brom, and later Murtagh, are not invincible, and if they die, you die.

The powered-up bow attack will get you out of many rough spots before the end of the game, and in two-player mode it can clear great swathes of enemies all at once. Master the attack quickly.

Time your powerful attacks properly.

When using attack combos, if you find that your attack is not as strong at the end as it should be, try double tapping the last attack button. This will make sure the attack is timed properly, and make your combo attack more powerful.

Always remember: If you force enemies near a cliff edge, you can launch them off with a jumping strong attack.

Multiplayer Tips
Take enemies out as soon as they come onscreen by doubling up on one-hit missile kills. You can also perform dual jumps followed by strong attacks to make short work of a large crowd of opponents.

Teamwork is essential: Have one player throw an enemy into a crowd, and then the second player can rush in and one-hit kill the foes as they lie vulnerable on the ground.
