Trixie360 Interviews NickyGoose

Nicholaus Goossen directed gamer film favorite Grandma's Boy and managed to slip a little Xbox 360® into his upcoming film The Shortcut. Say "Action!" to NickyGoose.
trixie360: What's the story behind your Gamertag?
NickyGoose: I guess the story behind my Gamertag is pretty much a non-story. It's just an abbreviation of my weird name. Maybe I should've thought of something cooler like "bonghit420." I swear there are like a million people with "420" in their Gamertags.

NickyGoose in the director's chair.
trixie360: Yeah, it's not real original. Where do you live?
NickyGoose: Born and raised in Los Angeles, California. My pad is in Venice Beach, where art meets crime.
trixie360: Tell us about what you do for a living.
NickyGoose: I'm a director and I just finished my second feature film. It's called The Shortcut and it's the first thriller to be produced by Adam Sandler. (He also produced my first movie.) I've been directing music videos a lot lately too. I've done some for Mickey Avalon, Dirt Nasty, and Evidence from Dilated Peoples.
trixie360: What's the worst or weirdest job you've ever had?
NickyGoose: I've pretty much liked all of my jobs except for that one summer my friend talked me into working as an Audience Page at CBS Studios. I had to wear these weird pants and escort people to the bathroom. I didn't do that for too long.
trixie360: How long have you been on Xbox LIVE®?
NickyGoose: I've been on Xbox LIVE since it started, baby! Look it up! For some reason though, I always show up as Offline. I think I called the hotline once and they told me it was my router, but I couldn't figure it out so nobody ever knows if I'm on until I hit them up with an invite. Maybe it's better that way. Ninja-style.
trixie360: Trust me, after this spotlight goes up, you will be very thankful to be in stealth mode. Do you have an archenemy on Xbox LIVE?
NickyGoose: Don't really have an archenemy, but my boy Beardo (Gamertag: beardoak47) comes the closest. He thinks he's better than me in almost all of the FPS. He's crazy. Compare our stats.

When he isn't directing, NickyGoose might be shooting some zombies.
trixie360: What's your Xbox setup like?
NickyGoose: The first thing I bought when I finished The Shortcut was a brand new Samsung 53-inch LCD. It looks so sweet with my 360 Elite's HDMI cable. Crispy. I've got a Sony 5.1 bookshelf system that I got a few years back that people are still telling me sounds great. The surrounds are right by your head when you sit on my couch. For me, it's almost a must to play in these kinds of conditions. Once you've experienced it, going back is like watching black and white television.
trixie360: What's the best feature of Xbox LIVE?
NickyGoose: The best feature of Xbox LIVE is the flawless chat / party system. I love how you can change games and never lose contact with a person. Or for that matter, you could be playing separate games and still have a conversation. It always trips me out when I'm playing with a dude on the opposite end of the world or something, say Australia, and whatever game you're playing is just running smooth and flawless as if they were sitting right there next to you. Siiiiiiick. I can't wait for the future!
trixie360: What's your favorite multiplayer Xbox game?
NickyGoose: For multiplayer, Halo® in all its forms is probably the all-time most fun. But Gears of War® 2 and its Horde mode is amazing as well. Just started getting into Left 4 Dead™.
trixie360: What's your favorite single-player Xbox game?
NickyGoose: My favorite single-player game in the past six months is a tossup between Grand Theft Auto IV™ and Dead Space™. Maybe it's GTA IV by a nose. Capcom is one of my favorite developers, though.
trixie360: What do you think is the best game of all time?
NickyGoose: Best game of all time is between the original Super Mario Bros. or Castlevania for the NES, Metal Gear Solid or Tomb Raider on the first Playstation, or Halo 2 on the original Xbox. Sorry, that's a lot of picks.
trixie360: What do you think is the best film of all time?
NickyGoose: Best film of all time? I'm very partial to The Godfather and The Godfather II. But Lawrence of Arabia and Jaws are right up there for me.

Maybe Master Chief's favorite film is Grandma's Boy.
trixie360: What do you think is the best album of all time?
NickyGoose: I love almost every Beatles album. But Nirvana's Nevermind was a big one for me. As was Snoop Dogg's Doggystyle.
trixie360: Rock Band or Guitar Hero?
NickyGoose: Definitely Rock Band®.
trixie360: What's the funniest thing you've ever heard on Xbox LIVE?
NickyGoose: The funniest stuff I've ever heard on Xbox LIVE is my friend Nick Swardson (Jeff in Grandma's Boy) ranting and raving when he plays Halo. It's disturbing and hilarious at the same time.
trixie360: I just want to know if he wears those hawt footie pajamas when he plays Halo. What is your greatest Xbox LIVE moment?
NickyGoose: My greatest Xbox LIVE moments so far are definitely wrapped up in Halo 3. I had a couple games there when I was at my peak where I went on some rampages with the Sniper Rifle.
trixie360: What's your favorite TV show?
NickyGoose: My favorite TV show right now is Top Chef. I don't miss an episode. Love it.
trixie360: If they made a movie about your life, who should play you?
NickyGoose: I don't know who would play me in a story of my life, but I would definitely want to direct it!
trixie360: What's your karaoke song?
NickyGoose: Don't sing karaoke too much, but if I did I would choose something I knew really well, like a song by The Doors or something. Maybe "Hello I Love You."

Nicholaus is a big fan of Nirvana.
trixie360: Favorite cartoon character?
NickyGoose: Favorite cartoon character is Daffy Duck. Dude used to crack me up.
trixie360: What superpower would you like to have?
NickyGoose: As far as superpowers go I want everything Superman's got! Guy is stacked!
trixie360: If you could trade places with anyone for one day, who would it be?
NickyGoose: Not sure if I'd trade places with anybody, but Brad Pitt has got himself a nice little life going! I sure wouldn't be upset if I woke up as him!
trixie360: You might have to fight your way through five levels of poopy diapers and paparazzi before you got to Angie! What celebrity would be the worst roommate?
NickyGoose: I feel like it might be pretty tough to live with Christian Bale. He might go off on you if you spill the milk or something.
trixie360: I'd punch him if he used the stupid Batman voice on me. How many people are on your Friends List?
NickyGoose: My friend's list is full. Can you guys hook me up with more spaces?
trixie360: I wish! Hot celeb you'd like to be stranded on a desert island with?
NickyGoose: I wouldn't kick Kristen Stewart or Megan Fox off the beach.
trixie360: If you could be any video game character, who would it be?
NickyGoose: I'd be Ryu. I want to throw a fireball. And wear a headband.

He'd be Ryu given half a chance.
trixie360: Yeah, you kinda have to be a ninja or John McEnroe circa 1980 to rock the headband. What's the worst food you've ever eaten?
NickyGoose: I hate mayo.
trixie360: Blaspheme! And to think I bought both the Unrated and Regular versions of Grandma's Boy! What's the first video game you ever played?
NickyGoose: First game I ever played was Baseball on the Intellivision.
trixie360: What's the last book you read?
NickyGoose: The last book I read was The Walking Dead issue 53. Comics count, right?
trixie360: In the gaming community? Of COURSE it counts! If you could go on tour with any band, which would it be?
NickyGoose: How cool would it be to tour with Radiohead?
trixie360: What do you predict will be the "next big thing" in gaming?
NickyGoose: Next big thing in gaming might be 3-D.
trixie360: What do you think is the best thing about Xbox 360?
NickyGoose: Besides the great games, it's all about Xbox LIVE. It just works so damn well!
trixie360: What is the Xbox 360 Achievement that was hardest to get?
NickyGoose: It took awhile to get 1,000,000 points in the first Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved. I can't beat the Sequence in the new one either.
trixie360: What would you like to be doing in ten years?
NickyGoose: In ten years, I hope I'm still making movies and playing games and doing it better than ever!
