Published September 17, 2008
She's a game designer in Albany, New York, a GamerchiX member, a finalist in the search for the next Frag Doll, and an Xbox MVP. You WISH you could be as cool as mechANGEL.
trixie360: What's the story behind your Gamertag?
mechANGEL: I really love the character Alita, from Yukito Kishiro's Battle Angel Alita books. She's a cyborg that is more human, literally, than any of the people in the stories.

mechANGEL.
trixie360: What do you do for a living?
mechANGEL: I'm a game designer at Vicarious Visions in Albany, NY.
trixie360: What's the worst or weirdest job you've ever had?
mechANGEL: Weirdest job I've ever had was being a safety fish. I was 17, and my roommate and I wore giant fuzzy fish costumes and danced to a song that taught kids about water safety.
trixie360: Pics! How long have you been on Xbox LIVE®?
mechANGEL: I've had this XBL account since January of 2006.
trixie360: Do you have an archenemy on Xbox LIVE?
mechANGEL: Right now I have two: anverc, and Redcoat Kezz. Anverc taunts me with Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved 2 scores. I am very susceptible to taunting. Kezz and I are racing to 20,000 Gamerscore, and right now it's a vicious race.
trixie360: My money's on you, Mech! How many hours a day or week do you spend playing on Xbox LIVE?
mechANGEL: Probably 22 hours a week on average throughout the year.

mechANGEL 's friends taunt her with their Geometry Wars scores.
trixie360: What's the hardest thing about being a female gamer on Xbox LIVE?
mechANGEL: I won't tell you publicly because then people are going to do it on purpose, I'm sure of it.
trixie360: Ohhh, smart. Are there any advantages?
mechANGEL: Being underestimated. Sometimes you can take guys by surprise.
trixie360: What's your Xbox setup like?
mechANGEL: 61-inch LED DLP HDTV from Samsung, 7.1 surround, my Halo® 3 console, HDDVD player *sigh*, Wii, and 3-D glasses and transmitter. I adopted 3-D way too early, it seems.
trixie360: What's the best feature of Xbox LIVE?
mechANGEL: I love the Marketplace. Except it makes me buy things, because I like new things.
trixie360: What feature would you like to see on Xbox LIVE?
mechANGEL: I want to be able to save screenshots of any game I want, like Halo 3 does. Then share them with my friends. I also wish I could save pictures I take with my LIVE Vision camera.
trixie360: What future LIVE games are you most looking forward to?
mechANGEL: Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 and Fable® II. I'm really looking forward to the co-op in both.

A lot of people are looking forward to Fable II.
trixie360: What do you think is the best game of all time?
mechANGEL: Zelda: Ocarina of Time.
trixie360: What is your greatest Xbox LIVE moment?
mechANGEL: The brief moment when I had higher Geometry Wars scores than all my friends.
trixie360: If they made a movie about your life, who should play you?
mechANGEL: Angelina Jolie, she's probably the only one who would understand me enough.
trixie360: What cartoon character do you think is most like you?
mechANGEL: Paprika, from the animated film Paprika.
trixie360: Oh, not Mr. Salt and Mrs. Pepper's baby from Blues Clues? Hot celeb you'd like to shack up with?
mechANGEL: Johnny Depp.

mechANGEL gives a callout to Zoë Castillo from Dreamfall.
trixie360: What game character is most like you?
mechANGEL: Zoë Castillo from Dreamfall: The Longest Journey. She feels so familiar, since the first time I saw her.
trixie360: What's the worst food you've ever eaten?
mechANGEL: Anything tomato. I hate tomatoes so much.
trixie360: Last book you read?
mechANGEL: Alice in Wonderland. I just got a nice, embossed, leather-bound copy.
trixie360: What do you predict will be the "next big thing" in gaming?
mechANGEL: It's gotta be 3-D. The 3-D support right now for games is pretty pitiful. I only have one game I can play in 3-D right now.
trixie360: What do you think is the best thing about Xbox 360®?
mechANGEL: Definitely the community.
trixie360: What would you like to be doing in ten years?
mechANGEL: Making successful games that other gamers really enjoy playing as much as I do. I want to make some real clever stuff.
