Trixie360 Interviews BigDadEWarbucks

Published July 24, 2008

He's a graphic designer in East Providence, Rhode Island, who hates sushi, but loves wrestling and playing games with his daughter Morgan. Meet BigDadEWarbucks.

trixie360: What's the story behind your gamertag?

BigDadEWarbucks: Long story but here goes … well I'm a big guy, I'm 6'4" about 245 lbs. So I used to have this shirt that said Big Daddy on the front and "Built Big" on the back. Ever since then I have had the nickname Big Daddy added to the many others I seem to already own. I also love the movie Swingers, so if you have ever seen it, one of the lines from the movie is "You're money, baby!" so I use that a lot. So I thought of Daddy Warbucks from Annie because he was a billionaire and just combined the two and voila … BigDadEWarbucks! Kind of goofy, huh?

trixie360: I've heard goofier. What do you do for a living?

BigDadEWarbucks: I'm a graphic designer/manager for a large company that designs all the signage for stores like Stop & Shop, CVS, BJ's, etc.

trixie360: What's the worst or weirdest job you've ever had?

BigDadEWarbucks: The craziest job I have ever had was in college when I was a car jockey at an auto auction. People would buy cars and we would have to drive them out to the car carriers. I got to drive some sweet autos as well as some pretty crappy ones. I remember one car where forward didn't work, so I had to drive out backwards. Nice!

trixie360: How long have you been on Xbox LIVE®?

BigDadEWarbucks: November 2005 when Xbox 360® came out. Got mine at launch. Told you I was a geek.

trixie360: What's your Xbox setup like?

BigDadEWarbucks: Ahhh …my movie/video game room. Just like most guys I guess I get wrapped up in this stuff. I have a 50-inch DLP Samsung TV, 7.1 Sony surround sound system, two sub woofers (need to hear those explosions!) and movie recliners with cup holders of course … with a nice little candy counter as well. Oh, and a fridge for beer … or soda. ;) Want to come hang out?

trixie360: You have a candy counter? I'm definitely coming over for movie night! What's the best feature of Xbox LIVE?

BigDadEWarbucks: Hands down, just being able to play with my buddies on our favorite games. I love the community atmosphere and just being able to talk to anyone at any time or jump into a game. Gaming has come such a long way.

trixie360: What do you think is the best game of all time?

BigDadEWarbucks: Now don't hold this against me because it's a PlayStation game but I honestly have to say it's the original God of War for PS2. That game was amazing and set so many new standards for video games that people now forever seem to copy. I haven't seen it topped yet.

trixie360: What's the funniest thing you've ever heard on Xbox LIVE?

BigDadEWarbucks: It may be one of those "you had to be there" moments but it was during a race of Burnout Revenge™. One guy was doing horrible and said, "Words cannot describe how bad I'm doing right now" and this English guy in the room quickly replied "I could give it a go if you like?" Everyone just burst out laughing. It was very funny.

trixie360: What is your greatest Xbox LIVE moment?

BigDadEWarbucks: Probably playing Gears of War®. Four-on-four, and my whole team died except me, and I was left against four others. Long story short … I ended up picking each one off one by one and ended up winning. It felt like a huge accomplishment and was just pretty damn cool.

trixie360: Who is your inner rock star?

BigDadEWarbucks: I don't think I have one, although I get caught singing a lot. Actually I just do it and I don't care. Maybe Tom Jones is inside me … ha.

trixie360: I insist you spit him out immediately! If they made a movie about your life, who should play you?

BigDadEWarbucks: Good question. Well, I have had people tell me I look like Brendan Fraser and act like Vince Vaughn. Can you combine the two?

trixie360: Yes, in my basement lab. What cartoon character do you think is most like you?

BigDadEWarbucks: Does Johnny Bravo count? I have also been told that I remind people of the bulldog from Looney Tunes where the tiny dog follows around the big bulldog jumping all around and saying, "What are we going to do, Spike? Where are we going, Spike?" Obscure, but if you know the bulldog I'm talking about … I guess that's me.

trixie360: I miss Johnny Bravo. What superpower would you like to have?

BigDadEWarbucks: I have always wanted to be able to stop time … that would rock.

trixie360: You do a lot of gaming with your six-year-old daughter Morgan. What do the two of you like to play together?

BigDadEWarbucks: I have been an avid gamer since I was a youngster (my Atari 2600 and I). And it seems my daughter is following down that path. We do so many things together, but one thing we love to do is play video games. It's amazing to see how smart she is, and she even helps Dad out sometimes. Ouch! "How the heck do I get out of this room?" "Right there daddy!" Thank goodness for her! It's just amazing to see them grow up and the things they learn. We enjoy playing so many games together such as LEGO® Star Wars®, Marvel™: Ultimate Alliance, any of the SpongeBob SquarePants games, and her current favorite … Viva Piñata®: Party Animals!

trixie360: If you could trade places with anyone for one day, who would it be?

BigDadEWarbucks: Hugh Hefner. One of my dreams is to visit the Playboy Mansion.

trixie360: What celebrity would be the worst roommate?

BigDadEWarbucks: Remember Puck from one of the Real Worlds on MTV? Probably him.

trixie360: Ugh. Snotrockets ahoy. Hot celeb you'd like to be stranded on a desert island with?

BigDadEWarbucks: Wow … either Trish Stratus from the WWE (she doesn't wrestle any more, but that's my fantasy wife), or Scarlet Johansson. Love her. She's amazing.

trixie360: If you could be any video game character, who would it be?

BigDadEWarbucks: How about Cole from Gears of War? He seems like a cool guy. Frankly, I'd like to make myself into a video game character. (kidding)

trixie360: What's the worst food you've ever eaten?

BigDadEWarbucks: Sushi (nasty).

trixie360: What's the last book you read?

BigDadEWarbucks: The Five People You Meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom. Some girl I was dating bet me to read it. Interesting book.

trixie360: Ew. You can tell a lot about a person by the books they recommend. If you could go on tour with any band, which would it be?

BigDadEWarbucks: Not a huge band/music game fan, but if I had to pick it would have to be an 80s hair band. I think Mötley Crüe would be interesting to hang with. I'm not into the drug thing but wouldn't mind the groupies.

trixie360: What do you predict will be the "next big thing" in gaming?

BigDadEWarbucks: Video game dating. Watch! It's already happening.

trixie360: Don't I know it! What do you think is the best thing about Xbox 360?

BigDadEWarbucks: Once again, just the community. The sense of being with a group of people or your buddies with you all the time.

trixie360: What is the Xbox 360 Achievement that was hardest to get?

BigDadEWarbucks: Trying to get that damn "This year's inductee" General Manager of the Year Award in WWE® SmackDown® vs. RAW® 2008. That sucked! I kept getting gypped.

trixie360: What would you like to be doing in ten years?

BigDadEWarbucks: Actually be a millionaire … be the real BigDadEWarbucks.
