TriXie Interviews Steve519
He works for the post office in Seattle, Washington, was an XBLRadio podcaster, and is now devoted to his work on Platform Nation. Take a closer look at Steve519.
TriXie: What's the story behind your Gamertag?
Steve519: It's kind of lame, but I'm a very uncreative person, so Steve is my name and 519 stands for May 19, my birthday.
TriXie: What's the worst or weirdest job you've ever had?
Steve519: I never really had a bad or weird job, so I'll answer with my hardest job. I spent five years in the Marines. It was a hard job, but I loved every minute of it.
TriXie: Semper Fi! Tell us about Platform Nation!
Steve519: Platform Nation is my baby. Um … Platform Nation is a collaboration of several gaming podcasts who decided it would be best for our gamers, our podcasters and the rest of the gaming community if we all came together to share efforts. Together, we have a larger voice in the community for the gamers that we strive to speak for. We share the same forums and for the most part, share the same listeners. After all, we are a community, not a network.

Steve519, a former Marine, enjoys the network play of Call of Duty 4.
TriXie: How long have you been on Xbox LIVE®?
Steve519: Since a little after the original public launch of it, it was under a different Gamertag though.
TriXie: Do you have an archenemy on Xbox LIVE, and if so, who?
Steve519: Thrillhouse17. He and I seem to always be competing for the top spot when we play.
TriXie: What's your Xbox setup like?
Steve519: 55-inch Sony Wega LCD Projection, Onkyo 1000w 6.1 surround sound, with my 360, PS3, Wii, and my old school Xbox® hooked up to it.
TriXie: What's the best feature of Xbox LIVE?
Steve519: A friends list that you can access in-game.
TriXie: You and Mrs. 519 are expecting your first little gamer this spring. Are you concerned that you'll have less time to game and work on Platform Nation?
Steve519: Yes, a little bit, but I think I'll lose my sleep before I lose my gaming time.
TriXie: What do you think is the best game of all time?
Steve519: Super Mario Bros. 3.
TriXie: What do you think is the best film of all time?
Steve519: That's hard, it really is. It's kind of a tossup for me between Major League, Super Troopers, Space Balls and Office Space (I'm a comedy kind of guy).
TriXie: What is your greatest Xbox LIVE moment?
Steve519: Our first Platform Nation Gaming Night. Well, under those days it was XBL Radio Gaming Night, but it was just awesome to play with all the guys that listen to our podcast.
TriXie: If they made a movie about your life, who should play you?
Steve519: Let's go with Jim Carrey because I like his comedic style and I have been told I look a little like him.
TriXie: What cartoon character do you think is most like you?
Steve519: I would like to say Bugs Bunny because he is laid back and just plain awesome.

Bugs, huh? What would Daffy have to say about that?
TriXie: What super power would you like to have?
Steve519: I would like Peter's from Heroes. He had the ability to absorb everyone else's powers and if I can't have that, time travel.
TriXie: What celebrity would be the worst roommate?
Steve519: Britney Spears.
TriXie: Yeah, that needs no explanation. And now that we've got "scary" covered … name a hot celeb you'd like to be stranded on a desert island with.
Steve519: Jessica Alba, total hotness (just don't tell the wife, and wow, this question was one of the hardest to come up with only one answer).
TriXie: I'm totally telling your wife. If you could be any videogame character, who would it be?
Steve519: Well, since I have already done the stuff that you see on Call of Duty 4, I would be an Italian plumber.
TriXie: What's the worst food you've ever eaten?
Steve519: Broccoli and onions, I can't stand either of them.
TriXie: What's the last book you read?
Steve519: The Daily Show with Jon Stewart Presents America (The Book): A Citizen's Guide to Democracy Inaction.
TriXie: What do you predict will be the "next big thing" in gaming?
Steve519: LIVE Anywhere, if that ever takes off at least.
TriXie: What do you think is the best thing about the Xbox 360?
Steve519: Xbox LIVE because without it, I wouldn't know any of the people that I talk to now on a constant basis.

Everybody deserves 1000 Gamerscore, says The Last Airbender.
TriXie: What is the Xbox 360 Achievement that was hardest to get?
Steve519: One with Combat for Avatar The Last Airbender: The Burning Earth, because I had to fight with myself if it was worth it. And I felt so bad after doing it and I got ragged on so much. But it was a quick 1000 GS.
TriXie: I have GOT to do that. My Gamerscore sucks. What would you like to be doing in ten years?
Steve519: Sitting on a beach in Mexico.
TriXie: Sounds good to me, Steve. And let us know when Baby519 arrives!
