Gamer Spotlight:
TriXie Interviews JAGR200
He's a hockey fan and high school junior in Whitefish Montana, and has the distinction of being the first person to ask for a Gamer Spotlight over Xbox LIVE® messaging! Take it away, JAGR200!
TriXie: How long have you been on Xbox LIVE?
JAGR200: One year and two months. Not long, but when my Mom got remarried we got high speed Internet. My dad was military, so we moved a lot and didn't want any of those lame contracts when you pay for a certain time even if you don't use it.
TriXie: Unmask thine archenemy!
JAGR200: I definitely wouldn't say he's an archenemy, but it would have to be Physco Boon. He is a great friend and we get into some pretty intense Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six® 3 games.
TriXie: What feature would you like to see on Xbox LIVE?
JAGR200: Some kind of Internet browser. I know this sounds lame, but I would like to be able to do school research late at night in my room without my parents getting mad at me for playing Xbox® all evening and not doing homework until way late at night.
TriXie: "I'm doing homework on Xbox LIVE!" Yeah, they'll believe that. What's the funniest thing you've ever heard on Xbox LIVE?
JAGR200: When Physco Boon, SpeedyCarnival, DragonLance1276, Ramna123, darktemplar887 and I start singing. It is the funniest thing to hear and it usually scares people off. We make fun of each other but not in a bad way. It's just really good fun.
TriXie: What celebrity would be the worst roommate?
JAGR200: Terrell Owens and Chad Johnson. I think I would deck both of them in the face. Actually I know I would. There is a place to be a little cocky during a sport but both of these two have gone WAY too far.
TriXie: Who's your favorite superhero?
JAGR200: Does my Dad count? He is definitely my hero because he has always taught me the difference between right and wrong, and has always been there for me no matter what. He is also in the Air Force protecting our country so that makes me respect him even more.
TriXie: What's the worst food you've ever eaten?
JAGR200: Beef barley soup. Sorry Mom. That stuff is just nasty. It has beef and a whole bunch of other stuff in it I have never even heard of. My next least favorite is tater tot casserole.
TriXie: OMG! A new way to eat tots? How could that possibly be bad? What do you predict will be the "next big thing" in gaming?
JAGR200: When Sony goes bankrupt!!! No, I wish that would happen but it never will. Some kind of suit you wear so you actually feel what is happening to a player—like getting shot during an action game or getting checked during a hockey game. Not so it will hurt, but you will still feel it. That would be really expensive but really cool.
TriXie: I'm trying to imagine how a dimmer switch would work on your pain suit. What do you think is the best thing about Xbox 360?
JAGR200: Being able to play your music during any game, and seeing who was last on and how long ago they were on. It helps keep your friends list narrowed down. Being able to turn off your console with the wireless controller is cool, too (the controller is awesome, by the way).
TriXie: Thanks. It was all me. You mentioned you don't have an Xbox 360 game yet, but have been playing your friend's copy of Call of Duty® 2. What will be the first Xbox 360 game that you get?
JAGR200: I hope I get one soon, but probably not until March because I am a poor high schooler. I would say it will be Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Double Agent or Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter™.
TriXie: What would you like to do when you grow up?
JAGR200: Take over your job!!!
TriXie: Hey!
JAGR200: No, I'm just kidding. I think you got that one pretty well locked up. Video games would be awesome, but that probably won't happen. I would like to be in business management, or do something along the lines of coaching hockey or being a scout for a hockey club.
