Don't they look like they should be singing either "I Got You Babe" or "Summer Lovin'"?
Okay that was mean. The lads were kind enough to share the stage with me for a few minutes. Yeah, I'm making a weird face in this, but HELLO my shoes are awesome!
Oooh, it's the pretty people! Yes we actually have to hire good-looking people to attend a gaming event. Not really. Well kinda. These are models hired to show off the cool cars, herd park-goers toward the World Cyber Games and dole out temporary tattoos. I want one of those PGR 4 jumpsuits for Halloween.
Some Microsoft peeps spent all their time lolling on the air-conditioned, pimped-out Circuit City bus. Oh, how I wish it had been me! This is one of the coaches that traveled around to the WCG Regional finals. Classic Major Nelson comment in opening ceremony: "TriXie, you've got more miles on you than the Circuit City bus."
You know what Games for Windows says? "You always pay more attention to Xbox" *pout*. And then I say, "Hey I work for Xbox.com, what do you want from me?" And G4W goes, "Wah wah" and I smack it upside the head and say, "You have half the booth, you got Halo® 2 and you're getting Gears of War so shut your cake hole!"
This is one of my favorite pictures from the weekend. These gamer girls are the future GamerchiX who will help us take over the world. Guys, guess what's the first thing we're outlawing when we gain control? Yep, jorts. Those hideous jeans shorts some of you are sporting right now. You've been warned.
The family that drives together, thrives together. Did you see how I just made that up?!
The best part of WCG for me was that I got to bring some of the GamerchiX to help out in the Xbox booth. Not only are my girls easy on the eyes, they actually play games (sorry, booth babes). They had a ton of fun and were great help. From left to right: PMS Harlequin, JaXboxChick77, me, Gypsyfly PMS. TriX out. |
