| Gamer Spotlight:Trixie360 Interviews PeeKnucklePublished May 15, 2008 Besides being a gamer he's a forum poster, a rampant Tweeter, and gets to drive a dump truck! Say howdy to PeeKnuckle. trixie360: What's the story behind your Gamertag? PeeKnuckle: It's in honor of my grandmother. Her favorite game to play was Pinochle. When I was real young, that name fascinated me. Whenever I was visiting my grandparents and she'd be playing it, I'd run around saying "Pinochle." When I tried to sign up with my first choice (Patton), it was already taken. Then I tried Pinochle and it too was taken. I eventually found a way to use it, but at the same time, give plenty of ammo to the people of XBL. *shrug*
He was almost Patton, now he's PeeKnuckle. trixie360: Where do you live? PeeKnuckle: I live in the Sierra foothills of California. Just north enough to get snow in the winter and enough to sometimes get into the hundreds in the summertime. trixie360: What do you do when you're not playing Xbox 360®? PeeKnuckle: My business partner and long time friend owns a tractor and dump truck service. We dig swimming pools, culverts, drainage lines, remove big rocks too small to be blown with dynamite, remove tree trunks, and even larger scale landscaping. trixie360: What's the worst or weirdest job you've ever had? PeeKnuckle: For one day, I was a telemarketer. It was absolutely horrible. It was so bad, that I don't feel guilty for not being able to make one sale for them. trixie360: How long have you been on Xbox LIVE®? PeeKnuckle: Owned an Xbox and 360 from both launches. Broadband just made it to my neck of the woods last May. The very first day it was activated, I jumped in and went gold.
One of his favorite games is Morrowind. trixie360: Do you have an archenemy on Xbox LIVE, besides Moo Cowlester? PeeKnuckle: I had two stalkers. But I don't want them to receive any accolades, so I won't mention their Gamertags. I've known people who have been spotlighted before, so I know how this works. trixie360: Oh, you've got me all figured out. What's your Xbox setup like? PeeKnuckle: Still lacking in the HD department, but that will be remedied really soon. I have a Sony WEGA and it has Dolby Surround. It's dying though, so now I get to justify buying a new HDTV. *smirk* trixie360: What's the best feature of Xbox LIVE? PeeKnuckle: Friends and communication, hands down! I've been fortunate to meet many really nice and friendly people (ATC!). I almost never have a problem finding a game to play with someone. The simplicity of setting up multiplayer games is very nice. Multi-chat in Spring update, I can haz? trixie360: No. You spoke in lolcat and ruined it for everyone. What do you think is the best game of all time? PeeKnuckle: Probably a tie between The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind® and Chrono Trigger. I never bore of these games and can play them for hours on end.
PeeKnuckle's a fan of Mike Patton, who provided voicework for the game The Darkness. trixie360: What's the funniest thing you've ever heard on Xbox LIVE? PeeKnuckle: "Hey everyone! Did you know if you PM <gamertag> on XBL, that they'll send you free MS points!?" It's not true, people! trixie360: We are not amused. What's your greatest Xbox LIVE moment? PeeKnuckle: I once finished a match on XBL, with more kills than deaths. If you knew how horrible I am at multiplayer shooters, you'd see that it is truly a remarkable achievement for me. No joke. trixie360: Who is your inner rock star? PeeKnuckle: Michael Allan Patton. There is nothing he cannot do. I wish I had an ounce of his talent. trixie360: If they made a movie about your life, who should play you? PeeKnuckle: James Spader. Not my favorite actor, but people say I act like him. *shrug* trixie360: He's kind of a smirky b-tard. What superpower would you like to have? PeeKnuckle: Mind control. I would abuse that power to the fullest … for good! trixie360: If you could trade places with anyone for one day, who would it be? PeeKnuckle: Rick Astley. I'd plead with the world to stop sending my lame video to people. trixie360: I LOVE getting Rickrolled! What celebrity would be the worst roommate? PeeKnuckle: Simon Cowell. He'd drive me nuts, telling me everything I was doing wrong.
PeeKnuckle still needs to get all the orbs in Crackdown. trixie360: Hot celeb you'd like to be stranded on a desert island with? PeeKnuckle: Daisy Fuentes. She's beautiful and really tall. She could reach the coconuts for us. =] trixie360: If you could be any videogame character, who would it be? PeeKnuckle: Duke Nukem. "Hail to the king, baby." trixie360: What's the worst food you've ever eaten? PeeKnuckle: Tried a bite of haggis once. I don't even like recalling that memory … trixie360: What's the last book you read? PeeKnuckle: 1421: The Year China Discovered the World by Gavin Menzies. Fascinating read. trixie360: If you could go on tour with any band, which would it be? PeeKnuckle: Peeping Tom. It's the current band for Mike Patton. Any band he is currently part of, I would like to tour with. trixie360: What do you predict will be the "next big thing" in gaming? PeeKnuckle: Virtual rigs you step into, to become more a part of the game you're playing. Lawnmower Man, anyone? trixie360: That was freaky. What do you think is the best thing about Xbox 360? PeeKnuckle: The community and how it's all connected. There's always something going on that gets you excited. trixie360: What is the Xbox 360 achievement that was hardest to get? PeeKnuckle: I'm not an achievement junkie, so I don't tend to go after the really difficult ones. I will eventually get all of the agility and secret orbs in Crackdown™ though. That noise drives me crazy and I don't want to hear it anymore. LOL trixie360: What would you like to be doing in ten years? PeeKnuckle: Less working and more time playing games. I don't have lofty aspirations. I want to have fun while there's still time to have it. Let someone else save the planet. Interview by Trixie |
