The Nomination Mail:

Hey there TriX!

I have been playing Xbox LIVE for over 5 years, since the beginning of Wolfenstein. I've been through many ups and downs in my gaming history. First clan I ever came across was DX. I played with them through Wolfenstein, CounterStrike, and Rainbow Six. Then I came across an amazing girl clan called PMS where I stayed and enjoyed my time all the way until Halo 2. The clan was very orderly and strong. More branches started from PMS resulting in a much larger clan, making it harder to keep up with the new girls. Slowly, I became unable to work with PMS and decided to leave. I've been on my own since, joining smaller clans or girl teams, but never becoming tied down. My interest stuck to Halo 2 due to the release of competitive gaming. Traveling to Major League Gaming events soon became a dream of my own. It's been three years since the release of Halo 2 and I'm now gaming in the newly released Halo 3. I look forward to being able to attend the MLG events in 2008. Playing would be a great honor for me and to find a team, but if all else fails, I will look forward to coaching a very inspirational team called LimeLight. I am a strong player, and not afraid to speak my mind. Honesty is my best policy!

Trixie360 Interviews J for Jade

Published April 17, 2008

She's a student in Atlanta, Georgia who wants to get into nursing school and professional gaming. Say hello to J for Jade.

Trixie360: What's the story behind your Gamertag?

J for Jade: I first started out with a completely different tag, and then around the time Halo® 2 came out, I started getting the name Jade. I was in the PMS Clan at the time, and knew a boy named Jaded. So it caught on, and I have been Jade ever since.

J for Jade is serious about Halo.

Trixie360: What do you do when you're not gaming?

J for Jade: I sadly work in retail, probably not the best job in the world, but it pays the bills. I am currently looking at colleges and plan on majoring in Nursing.

Trixie360: How long have you been on Xbox LIVE®?

J for Jade: For over 5 years.

Trixie360: Do you have an archenemy on Xbox LIVE?

J for Jade: Everyone judges everyone in their own way. I try not to, but it's human nature. There definitely are people who dislike me, but either way, it doesn't really bother me what people think. After five years of playing Xbox LIVE, you get used to it.

Trixie360: How many hours a day or week do you spend playing on Xbox LIVE?

J for Jade: Most definitely four hours a day. Almost every day.

Trixie360: What's the hardest thing about being a female gamer on Xbox LIVE?

J for Jade: The constant nagging from boys. It's pretty ridiculous how some boys can be so immature, even girls sometimes. But it's all fun and games.

Trixie360: Are there any advantages?

J for Jade: Of course. YES, girls can be good at Halo; this isn't only a competitive sport for boys. Girls can have their own clans, go to tournaments, and even have their own clothing line for gamer girls too. It's all into who wants to be recognized.

Both men and women can carry the flag of professional gaming.

Trixie360: And who's willing to work for it. What's your Xbox setup like?

J for Jade: I have a flat screen TV, surround sound, and my Xbox to bring it all together.

Trixie360: What's the best feature of Xbox LIVE?

J for Jade: Being able to communicate with people from all around the world, bringing different cultures together.

Trixie360: What feature would you like to see on Xbox LIVE?

J for Jade: Being able to surf the Web. Like your own computer and game console.

Trixie360: What future game are you most looking forward to playing on Xbox LIVE?

J for Jade: Hopefully Halo 4, but if not, another Call of Duty would be great!

Trixie360: What do you think is the best game of all time (console, PC, or arcade)?

J for Jade: Halo: Combat Evolved.

The Chief agrees with Jade that he was in the best game.

Trixie360: What is your greatest Xbox LIVE moment?

J for Jade: Probably listening to boys cry and argue because they got beat by a girl.

Trixie360: If they made a movie about your life, who should play you?

J for Jade: Probably Angelina Jolie, she's just one hardcore chick.

Trixie360: If you could trade places with anyone for one day, who would it be?

J for Jade: Bill Gates.

Trixie360: What celebrity would be the worst roommate?

J for Jade: Sylvester Stallone.

Trixie360: Hot celeb you'd like to shack up with?

J for Jade: Mark Wahlberg.

Trixie360: Oh, me too! What game character is most like you?

J for Jade: Princess Daisy from Mario, the one with the brown hair.

Trixie360: What's the worst food you've ever eaten?

J for Jade: Caviar.

Trixie360: Last book you read?

J for Jade: Twilight.

Trixie360: If you could go on tour with any band, which would it be?

J for Jade: Rage against the Machine.

Trixie360: What do you predict will be the "next big thing" in gaming?

J for Jade: Hopefully something like virtual reality, it would be sick if you could be in your own game and control everything by your body motion.

Trixie360: What do you think is the best thing about Xbox 360®?

J for Jade: That you can download your favorite movies, games, pictures and more.

Trixie360: What would you like to be doing in ten years?

J for Jade: Have a good career in something I enjoy, maybe some kids, and definitely still playing Xbox LIVE!
