The Important Stuff:Gamertag: kp1990 | Gamer Spotlight:TriXie Interviews kp1990Published January 11, 2008 He's a high school student in Brookfield, Connecticut and shares his Gamertag with his brother. He loves Midtown Madness and loathes octopus. Say hello to kp1990. TriXie: What's the story behind your Gamertag? kp1990: My Gamertag is based off of two things: my brother and I. The "k" in the name means Kevin, me, and the "p" in the name means Pat, my brother. 1990 is the birth year of my brother. TriXie: What do you do in Brookfield? You know Major Nelson and the other KP are both from "The Cut." kp1990: I go to school at Brookfield High School. Nothing too special. I'm a freshman, so I guess it's as good as high school could be for a freshman. Outside of school, I have a part time job developing websites. TriXie: What's the worst or weirdest job you've ever had? kp1990: There's a corn field nearby and ever year they cut out a maze in it. Every Halloween they do like this whole scary nighttime maze thing. I got to play a dead body. For ten bucks an hour, it wasn't very hard work. Although someone did step on me. TriXie: I hate getting stepped on. I'm looking at YOU, Major Nelson! How long have you been on Xbox LIVE®? kp1990: Although my current Gamertag is pretty new, I've been using Xbox LIVE since about 2003. I remember getting the Xbox LIVE starter kit for my birthday. That was a great day :) TriXie: Do you have an archenemy on Xbox LIVE? kp1990: Although he may disagree, I would call Morgon my archenemy. There was one match of Halo® 3 that got pretty personal.
Sometimes, Halo matches can get a little intense. TriXie: What's your Xbox setup like? kp1990: My Xbox 360® is hooked up to a tiny 20-inch five-year-old TV. I still have yet to play games in HD :( Better start saving up for a TV. TriXie: What's the best feature of Xbox LIVE? kp1990: The best feature of Xbox LIVE is the Marketplace. I just love being able to download TV shows and arcade games. I don't know what I would do without all those demos! TriXie: What's the funniest thing you've ever heard on Xbox LIVE? kp1990: I remember once playing Halo 3 and trying to get the Mongoose Achievement where you had to kill somebody by running them over with the Mongoose. I took my 15 deaths before I finally killed someone. I also managed to come back and win the match with the most kills. TriXie: That's pretty cool, but I'm not sure how funny it is … What's your greatest Xbox LIVE moment? kp1990: My greatest Xbox LIVE moment was when I finally beat one of my friends at Call of Duty® 2. It only took 152 times, but who's counting?
152 games of Call of Duty 2 sounds like fun. TriXie: Who is your inner rock star? kp1990: My inner rock star has to be Till Lindemann. Come on, how much crazier could you get? TriXie: If they made a movie about your life, who should play you? kp1990: Well, only Freddie Highmore could replace me. He's about my age and he kind of looks like me. TriXie: What's your karaoke song? kp1990: My karaoke song would have to be "Heat of the Moment" by Asia. Come on, who did not love that South Park? TriXie: What cartoon character do you think is most like you? kp1990: I would have to say Double D from Ed, Edd n Eddy is most like me. We're both geeks. TriXie: What superpower would you like to have? kp1990: I always wanted the ability to fly. I mean come on, what would be cooler than being able to fly everywhere for free? TriXie: If you could trade places with anyone for one day, who would it be? kp1990: I would like to trade places with Frank O'Connor from Bungie. We have the same last name—who would notice? (Plus, Recon Armor!) TriXie: What celebrity would be the worst roommate? kp1990: Britney Spears. She might shave my head. TriXie: That's probably the nicest thing she'd do to you. Hot celeb you'd like to be stranded on a desert island with? kp1990: Alessandra Ambrosio. 'Nuff said.
kp1990 is a wannabe Lars Umlaut. TriXie: If you could be any videogame character, who would it be? kp1990: Lars Umlaut from Guitar Hero II™. I somehow always had a need to play as him. TriXie: Ew, he's scary! What's the worst food you've ever eaten? kp1990: The worst food I've ever eaten would have to be octopus sushi. That was an experience that is burned into my memory. TriXie: I try to avoid tentacles. What's the last book you read? kp1990: I'm currently reading We Were Soldiers Once and Young. Great book and great movie. TriXie: If you could go on tour with any band, which would it be? kp1990: I would want to go with Rascal Flatts. I'm obsessed with them. TriXie: What do you predict will be the "next big thing" in gaming? kp1990: The moment the users have the ability to do anything they want with a game is the next big thing. All current games limit you in some way. The breaking of that barrier will make someone millions. TriXie: What do you think is the best thing about the Xbox 360? kp1990: Xbox LIVE. The Xbox 360 is a great console but once you add the ability to talk to friends and play with them online, it becomes more than just a game console. TriXie: What is the Xbox 360 Achievement that was hardest to get? kp1990: The Mile High Club achievement on Call of Duty® 4: Modern Warfare™ caused the loss of 98 hours of sleep and the invention of 572 new curse words. Also three broken controllers and Anger Management classes. TriXie: What would you like to be doing in ten years? kp1990: I really want to be working on the Xbox project 10 years from now. I love games and I'm a geek, it's a perfect match! If not Microsoft, then I might go into the military as a pilot. Interview by TriXie |
