Gamer Spotlight:

TriXie Interviews m4rk0551

This lad got about a dozen of his friends to nominate him for a Gamer Spotlight. Finally TriXie couldn't take the pressure anymore, so here, live from Jacksonville, Florida by way of London, is m4rk0551.

TriXie: What's the story behind your gamertag?

m4rk0551: Well, my first name is Mark, so that's where the m4rk came in. As for the 0551, I added those 4 numbers because the gamertag m4rk had already been taken. For anyone wondering, the 0551 is just a mix of some random numbers that came up to me while creating my gamertag.

TriXie: What do you do in Jacksonville?

m4rk0551: I am currently working at a store named Publix. It is only found in south-eastern states, so it isn't well known. It is basically a supermarket, a little like Wal-Mart. It is very boring and tiring, but it is the first real job I have, since I am a student.

TriXie: How long have you been on Xbox LIVE®?

m4rk0551: I haven't been on Xbox LIVE for too long, yet I know basically everything about it. I first signed up for Xbox LIVE in late June, when I got my Xbox 360™, and I am enjoying everything it has to offer. Although I did have an Xbox®, I had never decided to join Xbox LIVE until the Xbox 360 came along.

TriXie: I command you to reveal your arch enemy on Xbox LIVE!

m4rk0551: My arch enemy on Xbox LIVE is z4zebra. I knew this guy while I was living in London, and we usually compete over things like gamerscore and game completions. Right now he is beating me in the gamerscore race. We also usually have the occasional one-on-one battle in games like Gears of War® and Call of Duty® 2. Most of the time, I am victorious.

TriXie: What's your Xbox setup like?

m4rk0551: My Xbox 360 is surrounded by an Akai 32" Widescreen LCD HDTV, DVD player, and an RCA 720 Watt Home Theater. Perfect conditions for Gears of War.

TriXie: What's the best feature of Xbox LIVE?

m4rk0551: That's a tough question since there are many thing I enjoy over Xbox LIVE. But my favorite is the Xbox LIVE Marketplace. I love how I can download movies, trailers, game demos, music, and more from a few taps on my Xbox controller. It is so simple to use and it's a great feature! What more do you need?

TriXie: What do you think is the best game of all time?

m4rk0551: I have many favorite game titles out there, but mine would have to be Call of Duty 2. It was the first game I purchased for my Xbox 360 and I have played it for a very long time.

TriXie: What is your greatest Xbox LIVE moment?

m4rk0551: During a Gears of War match, I was the only one left on my team and there was one person left on the opposing team. As I was looking for him, he came behind me and tagged me. I immediately no scoped and headshot him as he was running away, meaning my team won the round since he was the last person on his team. It was a very, very lucky moment. I have tried to repeat the event with friends but I have failed.

TriXie: If they made a movie about your life, who should play you?

m4rk0551: Tom Cruise. My life has been filled with many adventures, and he would be a great person to act it out!

TriXie: Eek. Me no likey TC. What cartoon character do you think is most like you?

m4rk0551: Brian Griffin from Family Guy. He is intelligent just like me and has the occasional jokes. :)

TriXie: If you could trade places with anyone for one day, who would it be?

m4rk0551: You! I have heard you are a very busy lady, so I would like to experience your typical day and see if I survive!

TriXie: Take the day off and try to do something with my gamerscore, will you? What celebrity would be the worst roommate?

m4rk0551: This has probably become the most common answer for this question: Paris Hilton!

TriXie: Hot celeb you'd like to be stranded on a desert island with?

m4rk0551: Jessica Simpson, no doubt.

TriXie: Eh, I guess you could always talk to yourself. If you could be any video game character, who would it be?

m4rk0551: An odd answer, but I wouldn't mind being Cortana from Halo®. I wonder how it would feel?

TriXie: Hmmm. I bet it wouldn't feel like much. Rather intangible, I'd imagine. What's the worst food you've ever eaten?

m4rk0551: While in France for a vacation, we went to this small restaurant, and I decided to try snails! It was horrible, I literally had to run to the restroom and I threw up! I guess some foods aren't meant for trying!

TriXie: Snails are just slugs with shells. I wouldn't eat a slug for a million bucks! What's the last book you read?

m4rk0551: Guns, Germs, and Steel: The Fates of Human Societies by Jared Diamond

TriXie: That's a good book. I have a signed copy. What do you predict will be the next big thing in gaming?

m4rk0551: Voice controlled commands. Saying stuff like "Turn on," will turn on your console. I think that would rock!

TriXie: My console would blush if it knew what I was saying to it when I'm playing Zuma. What do you think is the best thing about the Xbox 360?

m4rk0551: Achievements. It makes games more addicting and fun since you will want the achievements.

TriXie: What would you like to be doing in ten years?

m4rk0551: A heart surgeon as my primary job. As a secondary, a website owner/programmer.
