The Nomination Mails:

I think CroTech should be interviewed by TriXie. This user is very helpful when it comes to the forums, he is a good friend and has an awesome website: http://www.myarcadeplanet.com.

I would like to nominate CroTech for the Gamer Spotlight. I've been playing online with him for a long time, and when my Xbox 360 broke he informed me about the warranty increase to a year. Not only that, but he's also really into the forums and one of the most helpful fellas when it comes to game, technical, and Xbox LIVE issues. He's definitely a gamer worth the spotlight.

TriXie Interviews CroTech

He's a recent graduate, a former gravedigger, and an Xbox® Ambassador in Colorado. He was recently known as xXCYBER FEARXx. Ladies and gentlemen, give it up for CroTech!

CroTech

TriXie: What's the story behind your gamertag?

CroTech: I was born in Croatia and lived there until I was 12, then I came to the US and got my schooling in Technology. Also, on my buddy's site, www.myarcadeplanet.com, which I write for, I'm known as CroTech, so I thought it would be a great idea to just make it something I'm know by in the online world.

TriXie: What do you do for a living?

CroTech: I just recently graduated from an IT school with my degree in Network Engineering. Currently I'm working for Par Tech full-time and Circuit City on the weekend, discount :).

TriXie: Good thinkin' college boy! What's the worst or weirdest job you've ever had?

CroTech: Worst job I've ever had was working as a gravedigger. I quit a week later, didn't feel so good about digging graves.

TriXie: That is seriously creepy. How long have you been on Xbox LIVE®?

CroTech: I have been on Xbox LIVE since 2004. It has the best service and community out there, so many friendly people to make you feel welcome.

TriXie: Do you have an arch enemy on Xbox LIVE, and if so, who?

CroTech: My arch enemy on Xbox LIVE has to be TR1GG3R MAN, I owned him so many times one night we played, then about two days later, he didn't just win but won by 15 or more kills every time, so now it's me trying to be better than him.

TriXie: What's your Xbox setup like?

CroTech: I have a 27" Magnavox SDTV with my stereo hooked up as my sound, so the picture is not so high-def but the sound is, and may I say that Gears of War® looks amazing even on a standard T.V.

TriXie: What's the best feature of Xbox LIVE?

CroTech: Wow, there are so many features to pick from, but one I would like to mention is the ability to download HD movies and television shows. I never thought the console industry would take such a huge step.

TriXie: What do you think is the best game of all time?

CroTech: Best game of all time, I would have to say Metal Gear Solid for PS1, it truly brought next-generation at that time and got me into gaming.

TriXie: What's the funniest thing you've ever heard on Xbox LIVE?

CroTech: "Mom, give me some chocolate milk!"

TriXie: What is your greatest Xbox LIVE moment?

CroTech: My first multiplayer game was Halo® 2, and when I won my first Team Slayer match, I got 25 kills in a row on the Warthog with my friend Mik3 th3 B3ard. We pwnd.

TriXie: Who is your inner rock star?

CroTech: Serj Tankian from System of a Down, he's awesome.

TriXie: If they made a movie about your life, who should play you?

CroTech: Michael J. Fox, I love the guy and I am really saddened to see him the way he is.

TriXie: What's your karaoke song?

CroTech: "Mama's Song" by Boyz II Men.

TriXie: What super power would you like to have?

CroTech: To stop meteors from hitting Earth. I have a fear of one hitting the ocean, only if I can stop it, that would eliminate that threat.

TriXie: I have recurring nightmares about meteors hitting the earth! I'm not even kidding. If you could trade places with anyone for one day, who would it be?

CroTech: J Allard, who wouldn't, the man is genius.

TriXie: What celebrity would be the worst roommate?

CroTech: Paris Hilton, I would slap her to sleep.

TriXie: I would give her a dirt nap. Hot celeb you'd like to be stranded on a desert island with?

CroTech: Jessica Alba, who wouldn't?

TriXie: If you could be any video game character, who would it be?

CroTech: Tony Montana from Scarface™: The World is Yours. He is a bad ass.

TriXie: What's the worst food you've ever eaten?

CroTech: Pigeon. I'm from Croatia originally and one of the dishes they serve there is pigeon.

TriXie: Ick. I hate pigeons. What's the last book you read?

CroTech: First Strike, the last book of the Halo® series, it's really a touching story.

TriXie: If you could go on tour with any band, which would it be?

CroTech: System of a Down.

TriXie: What do you predict will be the 'next big thing' in gaming?

CroTech: I think the next big thing in gaming will be interactive movies in gaming as Peter Jackson mentioned. I think it'll be huge and bring gaming closer to being even more realistic.

TriXie: What do you think is the best thing about Xbox 360™?

CroTech: The best thing about Xbox 360 would have to be its accessories. Every time I go to a store I have to buy an accessory since there are so many. I still have to get my hands on the Wireless Steering Wheel.

TriXie:What is the Xbox 360 Achievement that was hardest to get?

CroTech:It had to be beating Call of Duty® 3 on Veteran difficulty, it took me two months.

TriXie:What would you like to be doing in ten years?

CroTech:I would like to work for Microsoft in their gaming division to make the Xbox community a better place than it already is.

I want to thank TriXie and the whole Xbox.com community for letting me interview for the Gamer Spotlight. I am more than happy to be a part of this great community and even more excited to contribute to making it a better place for everyone.

TriXie: Thanks, CroTech!
