He also recently won Spike TV's Game Head Call of Duty Challenge, and scored a trip to Normandy for himself and a guest, VIP passes to the Spike TV Video Game Awards and a $6,000 Best Buy gift card.Say hello to anaLog I Muneco!
anaLog I Muneco visits Activision. TriXie: What's the story behind your gamertag? anaLog I Muneco: I represent one of the best teams for Call of Duty® 3 and they call themselves anaLog:Sports. To represent the team on Xbox Live®, we all carry the word analog in front of our original gamertag. In the Spanish language, the Muneco part is a term for "pretty boy" or "doll faced". I have been using the name for years on instant messaging services and thought to keep it on Live also. TriXie: How long have you been on Xbox Live? anaLog I Muneco: If I can remember correctly, I have been on Xbox Live since August or September of 2003. I purchased Live just so I could playCounter-Strike™ for Xbox®. TriXie: Do you have an arch enemy on Xbox Live? anaLog I Muneco: Well I wouldn't call him an arch enemy, I would call him a doubter and a hater. I'll keep his name confidential. If I said his name in this interview, he would have great pleasure. We wouldn't want that now, would we? TriXie: No! Haters suck! What's your Xbox setup like? anaLog I Muneco: I have a Sony 60-inch LCD HDTV connected to my Xbox 360™ using component cables and an optic wire for Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound (try saying that in one breath). The hi-def does help me kill those hard to see enemies and being able to hear someone walk up behind me helps too. My surround sound system includes one Polk Audio PSW 350 sub, four Klipsch Reference 8 speakers powered by a Technics receiver and a Definitive Technology 3-Way center-channel speaker with a built in subwoofer. Now that's power! TriXie: Oh, sweet! What's the best feature of Xbox Live? anaLog I Muneco: I can't say that there is one best feature because there are so many great features like the ability to have a friends list, see what they are currently doing, being able to talk to them via an Xbox Live Headset, and inviting them into a game. Let's not forget the ability to download demos. I can even rent and watch movies, trailers, TV shows, and more! TriXie: Tell us about your experience with the Game Head Call of Duty 3 Challenge on Spike TV. anaLog I Muneco: What an experience! We had to live three physically grueling days on a military installation with real life drill instructors. It was a bit intimidating because these drill instructors were very rough on us. We were constantly being yelled at 24/7 and we were sleep deprived. I only had four hours of sleep within the 72-hour period. Some of us were forced to eat a banana with its skin still on while others ate an orange with its peel. Looking back at the experience I would have to say that it was definitely an honor to be a part of what our soldiers have to go through, even if it was only for three days. It was a privilege to be selected and I would like to thank everyone at Activision, Treyarch, Spike TV's Game Head, and Best Buy for hosting and sponsoring this event! You can all catch the show in the Call of Duty 3 download section on Xbox Live Marketplace. TriXie: When do you go to France? anaLog I Muneco: I was planning on going sometime around June. I would have gone now but I heard the weather is rainy during the winter season. I will be visiting key battle locations from the Normandy Breakout Campaign featured in Call of Duty 3. TriXie: What did you spend your $6,000 Best Buy gift card on? anaLog I Muneco: I have upgraded my home theater system, my digital camera, I bought a laptop and I will spend the rest on Christmas gifts for friends and family. TriXie: What do you think is the best game of all time? anaLog I Muneco: I was mostly into arcade games growing up as a kid and there was one game that never leaves my mind: Double Dragon. That was one of the first arcade games I ever played and I can still remember the tune. The best game of today would have to go to Counter-Strike Source for the PC. I never get tired of that game. TriXie: What's the funniest thing you've ever heard on Xbox Live? anaLog I Muneco: It was during a Call of Duty® 2 tournament. My team and I had just finished beating a team who thought they were going to win. Once the game was over, a player on the opposing team started screaming at the top of his lungs, I think it was more like screeching, saying how we cheated and how he was going to report us to the Xbox police! My team and I could not stop laughing at what he said. We all thought he was going to break his Xbox 360 … literally. TriXie: Dude, you don't wanna mess with the Xbox Police. They put me in a choke hold once. What is your greatest Xbox Live moment? anaLog I Muneco: I think it was when I found out that the Game Head Call of Duty 3 Challenge was downloadable on Marketplace. TriXie: If they made a movie about your life, who should play you? anaLog I Muneco: I think Antonio Banderas is smooth enough to take on the role. TriXie: Señor Banderas is super smooth. What's your karaoke song? anaLog I Muneco: "So Seductive" by 50 cent and Tony Yayo. TriXie: If you could trade places with anyone for one day, who would it be? anaLog I Muneco: I would have to say Bill Gates. So, Bill, if you are out there reading this, my team and I are looking for a new sponsor (wink, wink). TriXie: What celebrity would be the worst roommate? anaLog I Muneco: Kevin Federline looks like he could be a bit on the messy side. He would probably be a bad roommate. TriXie: I heard he smells like cheese and socks. Hot celeb you'd like to be stranded on a desert island with? anaLog I Muneco: Jennifer Connelly. She is drop dead gorgeous and I could never get tired of seeing her. TriXie: She was amazing in Requiem for a Dream. If you could be any video game character, who would it be? anaLog I Muneco: Master Chief sounds like fun! TriXie: Oh, he is fun, trust me. What's the last book you read? anaLog I Muneco: The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. TriXie: If you could go on tour with any band, which would it be? anaLog I Muneco: G-G-G-G-G-G-G-Unit! TriXie: What do you predict will be the 'next big thing' in gaming? anaLog I Muneco: I think it is actually happening now. Gamers are starting to get paid thousands of dollars a year to play for gaming. Teams are being sponsored by energy drinks. Television stations are broadcasting tournaments and introducing us to a whole new style of gaming. The next big thing will be a gamer getting paid a million dollars just like professional athletes do! TriXie: I wonder if I could make money shooting balls out of a frog's mouth? What do you think is the best thing about Xbox 360? anaLog I Muneco: I think the best thing about Xbox 360 is its graphics, especially in HDTV, and Xbox Live. TriXie: What is the Xbox 360 Achievement that was hardest to get? anaLog I Muneco: The veteran achievement in Call of Duty 2 and Call of Duty 3. You can only get that achievement by playing the whole game on its hardest level. What a pain! |
