The Important Stuff:Gamertag: Heiroute The Nomination MailHey TriXie, I wanted to nominate myself for the gamer spotlight (bet that never happens) because I feel like I am at least a little different than your average gamer. First of all I am 27, a native of Houston, TX,and have been gaming since I was 4, and have owned almost every home system since that time, so I definitely consider myself hardcore. I am also the very proud father of a beautiful six month old baby girl, with whom I spend as much time as humanly possible (that is why I mostly game after dark). In addition to my fatherly duty I also work full time and go to school part time, so I have a very full plate to say the least. However, gaming has always been a part of my life and it is still important to me so I try to find time every day to squeeze in a few hours of play time. I am not a pro by any means so I just play for fun. I also enjoy playing online occasionally but have not seen any online gaming competition since receiving my XBOX 360, mostly because I look for like minded, laid back gamers like myself. So if anyone is looking for some good clean fun send me a message. Thanks for your time TriXie and happy gaming, —Heiroute | Gamer Spotlight:TriXie Interviews HeirouteHe's a self-described 'funny jerk' from Houston, Texas who works retail and has a baby daughter. Meet Heiroute … TriXie: What the heck does Heiroute mean? Heiroute: During a late night online chatting session a few years ago with some friends, I logged off and created a new account using the name Heiroute (don't know what the name means or where I got it from) and basically acted like a jerk (but a funny jerk) and it just kinda stuck with me. I really like it now because it's original and completely my creation. TriXie: What's the worst job you've ever had? Heiroute: I worked at a Christmas tree lot once during the holidays and worked completely for tips. I found out really fast how tight people can be with their money during the holidays and I got all kinds of sick for Christmas … yeah it was awesome. TriXie: Christmas brings out the worst in people. What's the best feature of Xbox Live®? Heiroute: I like Marketplace, I can download high res movie trailers for free! I also like being able to check out game demos … for free! Yes, free is very good. TriXie: What is your favorite offline Xbox® game? Heiroute: Even though it does have some Xbox Live features, my favorite game is probably Condemned: Criminal Origins™. There is something to be said about the therapeutic benefit of beating someone with a mannequin arm. TriXie: What do you think is the best game of all time? Heiroute: Final Fantasy VI (3 in the U.S.). It was the complete package for me. Graphics, great storyline, and memorable music, it is also one of the few games I have completed more than once. TriXie: What's the funniest thing you've ever heard on Xbox Live? Heiroute: I guess that would just be the things my friends and I say to each other when we would play Halo® 2. It is amazing the things people will say when they are down by twenty kills, a pirate would blush. TriXie: Pirates are actually very polite compared to kids on Xbox Live, I've found. What is your greatest Xbox Live moment? Heiroute: One of my first games in Halo 2 was head to head and this guy just loved to say "owned" "noob" and the like but he got real quiet when I beat him using just plasma grenades. He sent me a friend request, but I politely declined. TriXie: What is a TV show that you never miss? Heiroute: Actually the only thing I watch frequently is WWE wrestling … I know, I know. I find it easier to keep up with shows if I just rent the DVD collection next year. Plus I cut out TV from my schedule to make time for gaming. TriXie: You know WWE wrestling is completely real, right? What's your favorite TV show that's not on anymore? Heiroute: Well it used to be Family Guy, but it was raised from the dead. Now it would have to be Seinfeld, thank goodness for DVD. TriXie: If they made a movie about your life, who should play you? Heiroute: Tobey Maguire, because he's already used to playing wise cracking superheroes like myself. TriXie: What's your karaoke song? Heiroute: Ouch, I'm nota great singer, how about "Evenflow" by Pearl Jam? TriXie: Oooh I once had a big-league crush on Eddie Vedder. What cartoon character do you think is most like you? Heiroute: Fred Flintstone, I think we have the same tailor. TriXie: You should remember to wear shoes when you drive though. Hot celeb you'd like to be stranded on a desert island with? Heiroute: Is my girlfriend looking? Okay, Eva Longoria . . . I hear she's desperate too. TriXie: If you could go on tour with any band, which would it be? Heiroute: The Beatles in their prime. Looks like they saw some crazy stuff back then, and I am sure there are still some untold stories. TriXie: Yeah, Hard Day's Night probably left some stuff out. What do you predict will be the 'next big thing' in gaming? Heiroute: I think the online aspect is going to continue to grow by leaps and bounds, and will soon incorporate virtual reality simmed life. TriXie: What do you think is the best thing about the Xbox 360™? Heiroute: Wireless operation. I love the controller, and now I can turn off the system without getting out of bed. Ahh, sweet laziness. TriXie: What would you like to be doing in ten years? Heiroute: I would like to be well into a professional career, raising a second child, and most definitely still gaming hardcore. |
