Wow, that reminds me of all those papers and college applications I've had to write. School aside, this interview would mean the world to me. Well, not really. I'm doing this to humor myself in between sessions of Call of Duty® 2 on my new Xbox 360. If I were to be in the spotlight though, it would be pretty badass. Will I? Probably not. Did I mention I like German rock music?

TriXie Interviews Irish Shadow

He's been an Xbox Live® member since April 2004. He's from Corning, New York and works at Grossman's Bargain Outlet when he's not playing on his new Xbox 360. Say hey to Irish Shadow.

TriXie: What's the story behind your gamertag?

Irish Shadow: The name "Irish Shadow" actually has a fairly long history to it. Back when I played Tribes 2 for the PC, I used the alias Hammerhead X. Once I got into a clan on Halo PC, that name was too long with the clan tag in front of it, so I thought of the name Shadow. Yeah, I know not really original, right? That's why when I made my Xbox Live gamertag, I wanted it to unique. I'm really proud of my heritage, so I chose Irish Shadow because of my Irish roots. That, and because German Shadow doesn't have as nice of a ring to it as Irish Shadow.

TriXie: Do you have an archenemy on Xbox Live?

Irish Shadow: Just numerous friendly rivals such as I Mirage I, BuckNasty03, Mystic4243, and CraftierPantz.

TriXie: What do you think is the best film of all time?

Irish Shadow: It's between The Mothman Prophecies and The Matrix Trilogy.

TriXie: I nominate Mothman Prophecies for creepiest use of the word "Chapstick." What do you think is the best album of all time?

Irish Shadow: This one is no contest; Mutter by Rammstein. It's the album that got me into German rock, and it also has a kickass line-up of songs. Want to hear an epic song? Try "Mein Herz Brennt" off the Mutter album.

TriXie: I'll keep that in mind next time I'm feeling the weldschmertz. What's the funniest thing you've ever heard on Xbox Live?

Irish Shadow: Oh man, I heard the funniest thing over Live some time ago. I was playing Halo® 2 on Warlock with my buddy I Mirage I, and we got someone with an Irish accent on our team. Not too long into the match, I saw our Irish buddy, WeltyParrot, chasing after someone with a shotgun yelling: "I'm gonna make you squeal like a piggie." It may have just been the accent that made it so funny, but funny nevertheless.

TriXie: What is your greatest Xbox Live moment?

Irish Shadow: I can't really think of anything astounding at the moment, but I once jacked a ghost while it was boosting at full speed in Halo 2.

TriXie: Hot celeb you'd like to be stranded on a desert island with?

Irish Shadow: Aria Giovanni. You can't tell, but I'm doing Homer Simpson's trademark gurgle and drooling right now.

TriXie: Wipe your chin. What's a book you wish you'd written?

Irish Shadow: Dante's Inferno.

TriXie: Oooooh. What do you predict will be the "next big thing" in gaming?

Irish Shadow: Massively multiplayer shooters. I'm not talking about strictly World War II games with 32 or 50 people either. I'm talking endless battlefields with 200 players and up.

TriXie: That's a lot of carnage. What do you think is the best thing about Xbox 360™?

Irish Shadow: The Guide button is the coolest new feature on Xbox 360, bar none.

TriXie: What was the first achievement you earned?

Irish Shadow: Ten kills in Killcount on Perfect Dark Zero™.
