Some of Hollywood’s best movies have been adapted from novels, such as the Lord of the Rings trilogy, Atonement, Gone Baby Gone, The Hours, Jaws, The Shawshank Redemption, and the list goes on and on. Into the Wild is another great film based on a book, but it’s also based on true events. Directed by Sean Penn, the movie follows the story of Christopher McCandless (Emile Hirsch), a new college graduate who leaves behind family, friends, and all his possessions to head to Alaska.

Snow Buddies
Spring is officially here! If you’ve been in any store lately, you’ve likely seen aisles of pastel-colored bunnies and chocolate chicks. And what better way to celebrate this cute and cuddly time of year than by watching a movie about adorable puppies! If you’re a kid, or have kids, take time to watch Snow Buddies. In this seventh (yes, seventh!) installment of the Air Bud series, a pack of puppies find themselves in Alaska where they compete in a sled race, and try to find their way back home.

Gone Baby Gone
Directed by Ben Affleck, Gone Baby Gone is about the search for a kidnapped girl in one of Boston's toughest neighborhoods. As the local police force makes little progress, private investigator Patrick Kenzie (Casey Affleck) takes on the case with his professional and personal partner Angie Gennaro (Michelle Monaghan). Kenzie uses his contacts to try and find the girl amid a sensational media storm and layers and layers of lies and secrets.

Batman Begins
Batman Begins revitalized the Batman franchise when it was released in 2005. Directed by Christopher Nolan (Memento), the film shows how witnessing the murder of his parents led a young Bruce Wayne to become the Dark Knight of Gotham. Christian Bale (The Prestige, 3:10 to Yuma) brilliantly portrays young Batman/Bruce Wayne, and he's supported by an amazing list of great actors, including Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman, and Liam Neeson.
