Living in the public eye complicates a person's life, especially their love life. In the 1995 film The American President, President Andrew Shepherd (Michael Douglas) is a widower who falls in love with environmental lobbyist Sydney Wade (Annette Bening) while he's preparing for re-election, and as she's trying to get legislation passed. The film's writer, Aaron Sorkin, went on to create The West Wing, featuring some of the same cast members including Martin Sheen.

Russell Crowe (American Gangster) and Christian Bale (Batman Begins) star in the remake of the 1957 western film 3:10 to Yuma. Ben Wade (Crowe) is an outlaw and gang leader who is captured in a small town after a robbery. Bale is a poor rancher who is talked into escorting Wade to the 3:10 p.m. train that will take Wade to prison. Traveling to the station proves dangerous as the escort group is attacked and killed off one by one.
