  • SoozyQ highlights some of the movies and TV shows you can download and enjoy from Xbox LIVE Marketplace.

Hi, everyone! It's great to be here on Xbox.com. I'm SoozyQ, the latest addition to the family of personalities.

Who am I and what am I doing here? A few months ago, Xbox released the Xbox 360™ HD DVD player and also became the first console to offer movies and TV shows, in both standard and high-definition format, for people to download. The new Marketplace feature also meant that there would be a ton of new content for everyone to enjoy, and that's why I'm here.

I was a movie buff before a gamer so I've been spending just as much time watching movies and TV shows on my Xbox 360 as I do trying to beat level 8-4 in Zuma®, which is a lot of time. I'm the kind of girl who's so into the home theater stuff that I had to convince my husband to get a big-screen HDTV and begged my parents to give up their high-end surround sound stereo and speaker system. My video-watching habits are your gain because I'll highlight the content on Video Marketplace you can't miss.

My Home Entertainment Experience
At home I get my movie and TV fix from a few different sources. I subscribe to digital cable, own a digital video recorder, and have an online movie rental subscription. But it was the addition of movies and TV shows on Marketplace that finally let me watch the Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip and CSI episodes I was missing because my DVR is always too full and I'm restricted to record only two shows at a time.

If you haven't watched either of those shows, you should definitely check them out. CBS created two more versions of CSI because millions of people are hooked on the original. CSI and CSI: Miami were both ranked among the Top 10 TV programs of 2006, according to Nielsen Media Research.

Studio 60 was the number one "timeshifted" prime time show in 2006, also according to Nielsen. The show's executive producer, Aaron Sorkin, was an executive producer of The West Wing and wrote the screenplay for A Few Good Men. Just with those credentials you know it's got to be good. Plus, Sorkin penned the well-known Jack Nicholson line, "You can't handle the truth!" I can't forget to mention that Matthew Perry, from Friends, also stars in the show.

My Favorites
As you can tell there's too much to say about movies and TV shows, and writing about them is much more interesting than writing about me. This article is supposed to be an introduction to SoozyQ, so here are a few facts to break the ice:

  • Favorite movie genres: I like Sci-fi, action, and romantic comedies. I just have to sneak in a promo for The Lake House. Watch it with your girlfriend, wife, or your gal pals. It's not a comedy, but I enjoyed it. It's based off a South Korean movie known as both Il Mare and Siworae, and Koreans know how to create dramatic love stories. It also mentions my favorite author Jane Austen. Yes, I'm a diehard romantic.
  • Favorite TV show as a kid: Garfield and Friends.
  • Favorite movies to watch in HD (so far): Superman Returns and King Kong.
  • Favorite character in a TV show: Based on the latest season, I'll have to choose Jack Donaghy in 30 Rock, played by Alec Baldwin. The show is a comedy, but you can catch Baldwin in a dramatic role playing the original Jack Ryan in The Hunt for Red October, which recently got added to Video Marketplace.
  • Movie role I want to play: Lois Lane, hands down. She's sassy, smart, and the love of Superman's life. It's every girl's dream.
