Def Leppard Releases Brand New Single for Guitar Hero III

Masters of rock Def Leppard will release a brand-new single for the game Guitar Hero® III: Legends of Rock five days before it appears on their newest album. On April 24, the single "Nine Lives" will be available as part of a three-song track pack on Xbox LIVE® Marketplace, downloadable for use in the game.

You can play Def Leppard's new single before the rest of the world can even buy it.

"Nine Lives" comes in a three-song track pack, including "Photograph" and "Rock of Ages," both classics from the band's legendary Pyromania album. The single stems from the collaboration of Def Leppard and country music star Tim McGraw, and will be released on their new album, Songs from the Sparkle Lounge, that debuts April 29.

Joe Elliott, the band's lead singer, is excited. "Being involved with Guitar Hero is very exciting for us and adds a whole new layer of appreciation. I know from personal experience how much more you get into the music by playing the game—which is why we were keen to explore this opportunity. Guitar Hero is extremely popular with all kinds of music heads, which includes a lot of our fans, and we think releasing 'Nine Lives' this way first is just fantastic!"
