Fallout 3 Design a Perk Contest

Published October 8, 2007

The Fallout franchise is now officially ten years old, with the original game launching in early October 1997. To honor the occasion, Bethesda Software is holding a Design a Perk Contest for all fans of the game. The winner will have their Perk included in Fallout® 3 and win their choice of a PC or Console prize pack.

He's asking you to sign up for the contest. I'd listen to him.

Perks are the special bonuses players get for their character after they reach certain levels. You don't have to worry about the stat requirements or the level where the Perk will be obtained, just what the Perk will enable you to do in the game.

Winners will get their Perk added to the game, their name in the game's credits, and their choice of a PC Grand Prize pack or a Console Grand Prize pack. The PC pack includes choice of a video card from ATI or NVIDIA, a Logitech keyboard, mouse, and sound system, and a bunch of Fallout 3 swag including a Vault-Tec lunch box, Vault Boy bobblehead, T-shirt, and decal.

The Console Grand Prize includes an Xbox 360â„¢ Pro courtesy of Microsoft, Logitech G51 gaming speakers, a Vault Boy bobblehead, lunchbox, and decal, and a Fallout 3 T-shirt.

There's also a ton of other prizes for runners-up, honorable mentions, and even prizes for folks picked at random. Check out the official contest site http://fallout.bethsoft.com/vault/falloutcontest.html and start thinking about the Perk you would like to see in Fallout 3. The contest runs through the end of October, so get cracking.

Happy 10th anniversary, Fallout!
