Is GamerchiX a clan?
No! It's a social group for female gamers. You can be a member of a clan and still belong to GamerchiX. Or if you are looking for a clan to join, GamerchiX is a great place to find out which clans are out there and get recommendations from other members.
I signed up for MyGamercard.net and I'm a girl;
does that mean I'm a member of GamerchiX?
No. MGC.net is kind enough to give us a GamerchiX leaderboard, but our group "lives" on Xbox.com. To become a member, you will need to send a request to xlmail@microsoft.com.
What do I say in the email? How does it work?
The subject of your email should be "XGX" or "GamerchiX". Please include your Gamertag. Please use your own email account; not your husband's or father's, as that will appear that you are a male trying to join a group strictly for women.
I sent an email 2 weeks ago, why haven't I heard anything?
GamerchiX applications are processed manually one at a time and our Community team is currently very short staffed (i.e., Trixie360 is doing them all herself—usually on weekends). You can speed things up a bit by including your Gamertag and using your own email address with your name on it to avoid an email exchange about whether you are really a girl, or a dude trying to sneak in.
How will I know if I'm in?
You will receive a welcome email from Trixie360 at the email address you applied from.
I share a Gamertag with my husband/boyfriend. Can I be a member of GamerchiX?
You can use your shared Gamertag to play with the other members, but you will need to create your own account for our private forum. If your shared Gamertag has a male avatar, you should let the other members know you are playing with a shared account. Your GamerchiX account will be the only one that appears on the GamerchiX Leaderboard.
Are there any requirements to join?
Just two: you must be a female and you must agree to the GamerchiX Manifesta.
How serious are you about the Manifesta?
If you violate it, you will no longer be a member of GamerchiX. The group is meant to be a drama-free place for female gamers to game safely and comfortably. If you come into our safe haven to pick fights and stir up drama, you will be kicked out. If debate and drama are what you are looking for, look elsewhere.
