Happy Birthday Xbox GamerchiX

More than 2,400 gamer girls from 25 countries around the world are now celebrating their first year as an Xbox GamerchiX.
It all started with a forum post on June 5, 2006. The subject was "Looking for Xbox GamerchiX" and in just one year, that post has led to a thriving group of over 2,400 gamer girls in 25 different countries. Members include lifelong gamers as well as women who are very new to video games. GamerchiX include students, professionals, full-time Moms, professional gamers, soldiers and sailors, artists, game developers, grandmas, and chiX that knit, race motorcycles, design tattoos, teach school. What we've all got in common is GAMES! Here are some birthday messages from chiX that have been with us since day one, and chiX that are new recruits.

It's hard to believe that the chiX have already been around for a full year. It seems like it was only yesterday that I stumbled upon the first forum post about it. Each woman in the group has gone through her share of tragedies and triumphs and it's been nice to have other women to share it with. We are strong, capable women that just happen to be united by the common thread of game addiction. It's wonderful!

Happy Birthday, GamerchiX! I've had such a great experience during my time being involved with this group. I've met many fine women in the forums who offer supportive and constructive advice on anything from how to improve gaming experiences to how to manage personal issues. I'm thrilled and proud to be a part of such a wonderful group of ladies, and thankful to you and the other girls that have put so much time and effort into this to make it what it is today!
