WCG Grand Finals – Day One
It's so cool having the Grand Finals in my hometown this year (but the shopping in Milan last year was pretty sweet). I'm not doing much in the way of sightseeing, but I'll be bringing you some of the odds and ends from the event. Here's what going on at Qwest Field Event Center today so far …

Here I am with the breakfast of champions at Qwest. I was going to caption this photo "TriXie's Wiener" but decided that would be in poor taste.

Here is Blackmamba, one of our two Dead or Alive® 4 players for Team USA. His real name is Jeremy Florence. He's 20 years old and lives in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. You can find him on Xbox LIVE as Lajin Da Great

This is a rare occasion in which my slave KP gets to come with me to cover an event. He's so happy to be here fetching my Diet Coke, parking my car, and dipping my chicken fingers in BBQ sauce. Later, after the VIP cocktail party he may be holding my hair while I barf.

Hey lookie, it's BBoyle aka 15 year old Brian Boyle from Lincolnshire, Illinois. He told me he's vowed not to play ANYTHING but PGR 3 until after the Grand Finals so he doesn't mess up his mojo. But then he admitted he had played Halo® 3.

These are the Rally Girls, our models that hang out next to the Project Gotham Racing® 4 cars and bikes. They're taking a quick break from looking pretty

Team Infinity is Team USA's first line of defense in the battle of Gears of War®. I forget their names all the time, so I call them "the tall ones" and the "not-tall ones". I'm counting on these fine gentlemen to win me the Gold! Um, I mean win "us" the Gold.

This is Luke (left) and George from Team Malice. They are representing Australia in Gears of War and will do whatever they can to stand between Team Infinity and a gold medal. They've been checking out Gears of War for the PC. The verdict: the ease and sensitivity of the mouse makes it way easier to play on the PC than on Xbox 360™.

Here are three of my 3,277 GamerchiX. From left to right, it's Mulderesque, TGCGoofyGurl and TGC LethalLilD. They're signing up new members and rocking the sweet pink T-shirts in between rounds of Gears and PGR4.

You may remember that back in Cancun at the Pan-American Championship, hooperkid beat me at Guitar Hero II™ when I got distracted by a kid looking up my skirt. I finally got revenge as I smoked him at "Rock You Like a Hurricane" on the Battle Mode in Guitar Hero III. He got his own revenge as I look like a total spaz in the photo.
TriX out.
