TriXie's Travels: Singapore, Day Five
Yep, that's me copping a feel off Master Chief himself, but I told him I loved him first. Later I was able to get an exclusive interview with him. I was as excited to meet MC as the screaming girls who came to see Singapore pop star JJ Lin sing at the WCG Closing Ceremonies. Lindsey and I got in a hair-pulling fight over which of us JJ was singing to.
After all that excitement (and a cold shower) we went back to Little India in the hopes of scoring some Indian food for our last dinner in Singapore.
Little did we know that Sunday night in Little India is like Bourbon Street during Mardi Gras—minus the beads and boobs. There were thousands of young men on the street. We thought maybe chicks weren't allowed out on Sunday nights but then we saw a couple milling around.
We made our way through a boisterous and pungent crowd into an alley where we could find some food.
Then we spied this disgusting sight. These gross little lizards were everywhere, attracted to light like freakin' moths. Nasty!
We sat down at some sketchy establishment and ordered five beers. They brought five ginormous bottles of Tiger Beer and Guinness mugs with ice. As Lindsey and I were still freaked out by the lizards the boys thought it would be a laugh riot to reach under the table occasionally and scare us into thinking lizards were crawling up our legs. No, it wasn't as dirty as it sounds but it was MEAN.
After finishing our beers we decided to play it safe and get the heck back to our part of town. We nearly got run over several times. Still almost no women were out and about. I think it would have been wiser to leave the boobs at home.
We managed to find a nice clean air-conditioned Indian restaurant near our hotel. We had a bunch of very delicious but extremely spicy food, while this statue crept up behind me. I had an amazing time in Singapore, but will be glad to get back home. I'm looking forward to the WCG U.S. Finals next month at Universal Orlando resort!
