Published October 6, 2007

The action continued as the weekend got underway in Seattle, with top players from all over the globe competing.

The Microsoft crew was in bright and early tomorrow, with donuts and ridiculously sweet soda for all. Members of the team have been bringing in Diet Coke to appease TriXie all week, hoping that her rage may be contained.

The Qwest Field Staff keeps an eye on the entrance into the actual field area, where the Xbox.com staff is hard at work. This particular guard reminds me of a hockey goalie, studiously playing the angles on approaching patrons. May God help you if your badge isn't visible.

The undefeated Ch0mper gets in some practice rounds before the Project Gotham Racing® 3 final tonight at 5:30 P.M. Pacific. Even the refs can't get enough of his Kudos-manufacturing runs!

Team Portugal faces off against Team Italy in the Gears of War® play area. Video Monkey wandered into the Gears of War booth earlier to grab 360 degrees of fierce gaming competition.

Team Italy's side of their epic bout against Team Portugal. Neither team disappointed, as this match went on for quite some time and each round was uncomfortably close. Like a conversation with Major Nelson.

Up on the second floor of the Qwest Event Center, hundreds of gamers are competing on Games for Windows in various stages of their respective tournaments. Here we see Team Russia focused on their quarter-final Counter-Strike match.

Here we have two members of the Roller City Rat Girls tearing it up on the Rock Band stage, where they took a spin at The Clash's "Should I Stay or Should I Go."

The Roller City Rat himself was decidedly more relaxed. As he'll tell you, the rat head itself was meticulously crafted throughout the course of more than 100 hours.
