The morning of Donnerstag (that's Thursday in Germany, kids) began with a shower in the phone booth capsule you see before you. It's so small that one can barely raise one's arms to apply shampoo. But the heated towel rack is a stroke of brilliance.
Breakfast in Germany seems to be comprised of cold meat and squishy sausage. It was interesting to see Clinton and Obama's latest hijinks on the front page of Die Welt though.
Once we arrived at the Deutsche Messe in Hannover, AceyBongos and I shot a video tour of CeBIT. You can watch it here. Then Acey snapped my picture with these statue people things.
Inside the show, we immediately found the fun-filled domes of the Xbox 360® booth where people were jamming on Guitar Hero® III: Legends of Rock.
This happy camper was thrilled to try out some racing titles.
Acey and I spent several hours at the Rock Band stage. As Mr. Bongos is a bit of an attention whore—and a good singer to boot—he hogged the mic whenever possible. I jumped in to fill in on bass guitar when needed.
When in Germany one eats … Thai food! Here, the lads (Video Monkey, hooperkid, BREWmethius) are happily sated with pad thai after Video Monkey regaled us all with stories of his misspent and accident-prone youth.
Marathon Girl and AceyBongos are so happy that our first full day in Germany is a success. Well except for hooperkid's missing luggage, but oh well. There's always Freitag!
