Official Rules

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW.

By entering the Xbox Live® Blades of Glory Play & Win Sweepstakes ("Sweepstakes"), you agree to abide by these Official Rules and any other terms and conditions referenced in these Official Rules.

1. Eligibility.
Open to legal residents of the 50 United States (includes the District of Columbia) who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Officers, directors and employees of Microsoft Corporation, Paramount Pictures Corporation, and their respective affiliates, parent companies, subsidiaries, advertising and promotional agencies and any person engaged to work on this promotional program and the immediate family members (including mother, father, sister, brother, child, husband or wife) and those living in their households (whether related or not) of any person in any of the preceding categories are not eligible to enter or win.  

2. Entry Period.
This Sweepstakes begins at 12:01 A.M. Pacific Time (PT) on March 23, 2007, and ends at 11:59 P.M. PT on March 25, 2007 ("Entry Period")

3. How to Create and Register Your Team / System Requirements.

There are two (2) ways to enter: online or via U.S. mail (See Paragraph 4 below for details on how to enter via US mail). 

To participate in this Sweepstakes online: First create a team consisting of two (2) members including yourself (collectively, the "Team" and each a "Team Member"). Each Team Member (including yourself) must have access to an Xbox 360™ video game and entertainment system and the Dead or Alive® 4 video game and be an Xbox Live Gold Subscriber in good standing.

Once you have verified that you and your Team Member meet these system requirements, you and your Team Member must both do all of the following:

(A)  Register for the Sweepstakes online at http://www.xbox.com/blades/ before the close of the Entry Period on March 25, 2007 at 11:59 P.M. PT. As part of this registration process, you will be asked provide your Team Member's Xbox Live gamertag. (NOTE: Please make sure to register with the same Xbox Live gamertags that you and your Team Member will use to play Dead or Alive 4 multiplayer sessions on Xbox Live. Otherwise, your entries will not be tracked and may be deemed ineligible. In addition, please be sure that your Xbox Live account information including e-mail address, mailing address and phone is correct and current.)

(1) During the Entry Period, you must log-on to Xbox Live on an Xbox 360 system and play a Dead or Alive 4 multiplayer session with your Team Member.

You and your Team Member will each receive one (1) entry into the Sweepstakes for each day during the Entry Period that you and your Team Member log into Xbox Live on a Xbox 360 system and play a Dead or Alive 4 multiplayer session. NOTE: For purposes of these Official Rules, a day starts at 12:01 A.M. PT and ends at 11:59 P.M. PT.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR REGISTRATION AND TEAM

You can only register once and you can't change/remove your Team Member once you have registered. In addition, Team Members may not play for more than one Team. Subsequent registrations and participation attempts by a single person are ineligible.

4. Alternate Method of Entry.

To enter by U.S. mail without registering online or playing Dead or Alive 4 with a Team Member , hand-print your first and last name, address, city, state, ZIP code, phone number, and e-mail address (if any) on a 3x5 piece of paper and mail to:

Mail in entrants need not and may not identify a Team Member. Limit one (1) entry per outer mailing envelope mailed separately. To be entered into the Sweepstakes, mail entries must be postmarked during the Entry Period and received no later than April 2, 2007.

5. Entry Limit.
If you enter online as described in Paragraph 3 above, you are limited to one (1) entry per day, for up to three (3) entries total. If you enter via U.S. mail as provided for in Paragraph 4 above, you are limited to up to two (2) entries per day, for up to six (6) entries total. Any attempt to obtain more than the stated number of entries by using multiple/different email addresses, identities, registrations and logins, or any other methods will void that entrant's entries and that entrant may be disqualified.

The use of automated devices to enter this Sweepstakes is prohibited. No responsibility is assumed by Microsoft for lost, late, misdirected, mutilated, postage due or illegible entries or any computer, online telephone, or technical malfunctions that may occur. All entries become the property of Microsoft and will not be returned.

6. Winner Selection / Notification / Prizes.
On or around April 6, 2007, fifteen (15) names will be selected in a random drawing from among all eligible entries received. Each person whose name is drawn and his or her Team Member (if applicable) will be named the potential winner of one of the prizes noted below. NOTE: If a selected winner submitted an entry via the alternate method described in Paragraph 4 above and therefore does not have a Team Member, just the person whose name is selected will receive a prize, and he/she will only receive one (1) prize.

Two (2) Grand Prizes are available:Each Grand Prize consists of a Blades of Glory warm-up jacket (Approximate Retail Value (ARV) of each Grand Prize: $35) and a collectors box of Blades of Glory Flakies cereal (ARV $5).

Eight (8) First Prizes are available: Each First Prize consists of a Collectors box of Blades of Glory Flakies cereal (ARV $5).

Twenty (20) Second Prizes are available: Each Second Prize consists of 500 Microsoft Points.

ARV of all available prizes combined: $205.00.

All random drawings will be conducted under the supervision of Microsoft, whose decisions are final. Paramount Pictures Corporation is not responsible for the collection, submission or processing of entries, the administration of the Sweepstakes, or the selection of winners. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. Prizes are not redeemable for cash. Prizes will be awarded on an individual basis to the selected winner and his/her eligible Team Member (if any). Limit one (1) prize per Team Member/person and/or e-mail address. No substitution, transfer, or assignment of prize permitted, except that Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value in the event an offered prize is unavailable. Taxes on the prizes are solely the responsibility of the winner. Any and all guarantees and warranties for merchandise prizes are subject to the manufacturer's terms and conditions, and winners agree to look solely to such manufacturers for any such warranty or guarantee claim.

7. General Conditions.
Sweepstakes entrants agree to abide by the terms of these Official Rules and by the decisions of Microsoft which are final and binding on all matters pertaining to this Sweepstakes. In the event a dispute as to the identity of an entrant cannot be resolved to Microsoft's satisfaction, the affected entry will be deemed ineligible. This Sweepstakes is governed by the laws of the United States. All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply. Winners will be notified within seven (7) days after the drawing date. Winners may be required to execute an affidavit of eligibility and liability/publicity release within seven (7) days following the date of attempted notification. Non-compliance within this time period may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner. Return of any prize / prize notification as undeliverable or failure to accept prize within the specified time period may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner. Entrants further grant to Microsoft the right to use and publish their proper name and state online and in print in any other media in connection with this Sweepstakes.

Acceptance of a prize constitutes permission for Microsoft to use winner's names and likenesses for advertising and promotional purposes without additional compensation unless prohibited by law. By entering, participants release and hold harmless Microsoft, Paramount, their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees and agents from any and all liability or any injuries, loss or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with this Sweepstakes or the use or misuse of any prize won.

8. Internet.

If for any reason the Internet portion of the program is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of Microsoft which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Sweepstakes, Microsoft reserves the right at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend this Sweepstakes. I n any such event, Microsoft, at its discretion, will select the winner(s) from eligible, non-suspect entries received prior to the event requiring such termination, suspension, or cancellation.

Microsoft assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries. Microsoft is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any email or entry to be received by Microsoft on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any Web site, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in connection with this Sweepstakes.

CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THIS SWEEPSTAKES IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

Entries made by Internet will be declared made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at time of entry. "Authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization (e.g., business, educational, institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address.

9. Winners List.
The names of the winners will be posted online on or around April 13, 2007, at http://www.xbox.com/blades/, and will remain posted until May 15, 2007.
