This year's Penny Arcade Expo was bigger and better than ever, with three times the space of last year and shattered attendance records. Held from August 29-31 in downtown Seattle, PAX is a convention for gamers of all types, with exhibitors from around the world showing off games and hardware. Unlike most gaming conventions, PAX is for gamers, by gamers, and the Xbox.com crew was there to bring the festivities to you, shooting videos, taking pictures, and posting blogs directly from the show.

It was a very busy day at PAX. My first panel was on how to get your girlfriend to play video games, then a quick interview with Adam Sessler for XPlay (plus Adam invited me to his birthday party), then I had to sprint to the Power of Gaming Communities panel with reps from Evil Avatar, Gay Gamer and Cheapass Gamer and moderated by Gamerscoreblog's Nelson Rodriguez. Pix3l Monk3y and I shot some video for Inside Xbox, I made a quick trip to the Pink Godzilla booth to purchase a Pink Godzilla and then my family and I bid PAX adieu until next year. --TriXie360
PAX Unplugged

In a vast landscape of booths with innovative and gorgeous digital displays, the Klei Entertainment exhibit took a decidedly un-electronic turn. Their desktop emoticons could not be accessed through one's computer desktop, but rather, they were available only on paper. They ran out of "Today I feel…Mischievous" first. Perhaps we're all a little naughty at heart. --meggigirl
Today I feel ... Awesome.
Rockin' Gamer Families
Posted August 31, 2008
The crowds at PAX span generations. The majority of attendees are male, but as the days progressed, I noticed more diversity than I'd been expecting. There were, in fact, several families in attendance, some traveling like packs (like packs at PAX…haha!) through the Exhibition Hall, others with sleeping babies strapped to their chests. --meggigirl
Grabbing lunch before rocking out at the Rock Band stage.
