By entering the Best RPGs Play & Win Sweepstakes ("Sweepstakes") you (or, if a minor in your state of residence, your parent or legal guardian) agree to abide by these Official Rules and any other terms and conditions referenced in these Official Rules.
1. Eligibility
This Sweepstakes is only open to legal residents of the 50 United States (includes the District of Columbia) who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Employees of Microsoft Corporation and any person engaged to work on this promotional program and their respective affiliates, parent companies, subsidiaries, advertising and promotional agencies and each of their immediate family members (including mother, father, sister, brother, child, husband or wife) and those living in their households are not eligible to enter or win.
2. Promotion Period
This Sweepstakes begins at 12:01 A.M. Eastern Time (ET) on March 7, 2008, and ends at 11:59 P.M. ET on March 11, 2008 ("Entry Period").
3. How To Enter
There are two ways to enter: online or via US mail.
To enter online, you must have access to an Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system and be an Xbox LIVE® Gold member in good standing. Once you have verified that you meet these system requirements, you must do all of the following:
First, register for the Sweepstakes. You can register for the Sweepstakes online, or via the Xbox LIVE Marketplace by downloading the free Best RPGs Gamer Picture. To download the Best RPGs Gamer Picture:
- Sign in to Xbox LIVE and access the Xbox LIVE Marketplace,
- Select "Game Store",
- Select "All Games",
- Select "Xbox 360 Community"
- Select "Best RPGs Registration",
- Select "Best RPGs Gamer Picture" from the list of available content and select "Confirm Download".
- Upon the successful completion of the Gamer Picture download Players will see a "Thank You for Registering" message.
You may also access the free Best RPGs Gamer Picture via the banner ads running on the Xbox LIVE dashboard.
You must register for this Sweepstakes using the same Xbox LIVE gamertag that you will use to download qualifying Best RPG's game add-on content via the Xbox LIVE service. Please be sure that your Xbox LIVE membership information including e-mail address, mailing address and phone is correct and current.
Updating Account Information (example for e-mail):
To verify/update your e-mail address:
- From the Xbox Dashboard, select "Marketplace Blade/Screen".
- Select "Account Management".
- Select "Contact Information".
- Enter your account e-mail and password, and then select "Sign In".
- E-mail address is located on the Contact Information screen.
Then, during the Promotion Period, you will automatically receive one (1) entry (limit five (5) total entries during the Promotion Period) when you download any of the Best RPGs (Oblivion, Blue Dragon, and/or Mass Effect) game add-on content described below via Xbox LIVE Marketplace.
- The Elder Scrolls® IV: Oblivion™: Shivering Isles, Knights of Nine, The Fighters' Stronghold, Spell Tomes, The Thieves' Den, The Wizards' Tower, The Vile Lair, Horse Armor Pack, The Orrery, Mehrumes Razor.

To enter by U.S. mail without registering online or playing the game, hand-print your first and last name, address, city, state, ZIP code, phone number and e-mail address (if any) on a 3x5 piece of paper and mail it to:

Limit one (1) entry per outer envelope. Mail-in entry(ies) must be postmarked by Wednesday, March 12, 2008, and received by Wednesday, March 19, 2008.
Entry Limit: Limit five (5) entries per person, regardless of entry method. Entries from the same individual or e-mail or household address received in excess of the limits stated herein will be automatically disqualified.
The use of automated devices to enter this Sweepstakes is prohibited. Microsoft assumes no responsibility for lost, late, misdirected, mutilated, postage due or illegible entries or any computer, online telephone, or technical malfunctions that may occur. All entries become Microsoft's property and will not be returned.
4. Winner Selection / Prizes
Microsoft Points Drawing
On or around Tuesday, April 1, 2008, five-hundred (500) names will be randomly selected from among all eligible entries received to win one of the following prizes:
- Three-hundred (300) First Prizes. 1000 Microsoft Points (Approximate Retail Value (ARV), $12.50 USD)
- Two-hundred (200) Second Prizes. 400 Microsoft Points (ARV, $5.00 USD)

Grand Prize Drawing
All First and Second Prize Winners will automatically receive one (1) entry into the Grand Prize Drawing. After the Microsoft Points Drawings, eleven (11) winners will be selected in a random drawing from among the First and Second Prize Winners to win one of the following prizes.
Eight (8) Second Runner-up Prizes Available. A 12-month Xbox LIVE Gold subscription (ARV $50.00 USD)
One (1) First Runner-up Prize Package Available.A prize package consisting of the following items:
- Limited Edition Mass Effect Branded Xbox 360 Console (ARV, 449.99 USD)
- Xbox 360 Hard Drive (120GB) (ARV,$179.99 USD)
- 12-month Xbox LIVE Gold subscription (ARV $50.00 USD)

ARV of Runner-up Second Prize Package: $679.98 USD
One (1) Grand Prize Package Available. A prize package consisting of the following items:
- 12-month Xbox LIVE Gold subscription (ARV $50.00 USD)
- A prize package for winner and guest toSan Diego, CA, to attend Comicon events on Thursday, July 24 – Sunday, July 27, 2008. This prize includes round trip coach airfare from major airport closest to winner's home, three nights, standard, double occupancy hotel accommodations (2 people, 1 room), transfers to and from hotel/airport, and a $150.00 stipend (ARV, $3,000 USD).
Actual value depends on date/time/destination, and difference between actual value and stated value will not be awarded. Trip winner's travel companion will be required to execute a Liability/Publicity Release prior to issuance of travel documents. If a travel companion is a minor, he/she must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at his/her own expense if the parent/guardian is not the winner. Travel subject to availability and must be completed on dates specified by the Sponsor or prize will be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner. The winner is solely responsible for obtaining any and all travel documentation (including but not limited to a valid passport and any required travel Visas) necessary for travel to the U.S. Some restrictions may apply. No cancellation of reservation or transfer of reservation to another date after reservation has been made. If the winner lives within 100 miles of destination, Sponsor reserves the right to substitute air travel for an alternative means of transportation. If the event is cancelled for any reason, Sponsor shall have no further obligation to the winner other than to provide the travel portion of the prize minus the opportunity to attend event.

All random drawings will be conducted under the supervision of Sponsor, whose decisions are final. Odds of winning a prize in the Microsoft Points Drawings depend on the number of eligible entries received during the Entry Period. Odds of winning a prize in the Grand Prize Drawing depend on the number of First and Second Prize Winners; estimated to be 500. Limit one (1) Microsoft Points Drawing prize and one (1) Grand Prize Drawing prize per person.
Prizes are not redeemable for cash. No substitution, transfer, or assignment of prize permitted, except that Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value in the event an offered prize is unavailable. Taxes on the prizes are solely the responsibility of the winner. Any and all guarantees and warranties for merchandise prizes are subject to the manufacturer's terms and conditions, and winners agree to look solely to such manufacturers for any such warranty or guarantee claim.
If for any reason the advertised prize is unavailable, we reserve the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value.
If you are selected as a potential winner:
- You may not exchange your prize for cash or any other merchandise or services.
- You may not designate someone else as the winner. If you are unable or unwilling to accept your prize, we will award it to an alternate potential winner.
- If you accept a prize, you will be responsible for all applicable taxes related to accepting the prize, if any.
- And are a minor (being under the age of majority)we may award, at our sole discretion, the prize to your parent/legal guardian on your behalf.
5. General Conditions
Sweepstakes entrants agree to abide by the terms of these Official Rules and by the decisions of Sponsor, which are final and binding on all matters pertaining to this Sweepstakes. This Sweepstakes is governed by the laws of the United States. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Winners will be notified within seven (7) days after the drawing date via the contact information provided at time of entry, and may be required to execute an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity Release within seven (7) days following the date of attempted notification. Non-compliance within this time period may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner. Return of any prize / prize notification as undeliverable or failure to accept prize within the specified time period may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner. Entrants further grant to Sponsor the right to use and publish their proper name and state online and in print in any other media in connection with the Sweepstakes. Acceptance of a prize constitutes permission for Sponsor to use winner's names and likenesses for advertising and promotional purposes without additional compensation unless prohibited by law. By entering, participants release and hold harmless Sponsor, its respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees and agents from any and all liability or any injuries, loss or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with this Sweepstakes or any prize won.
6. Internet
If for any reason the Internet portion of this Sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of Sponsor which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Sweepstakes, Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend this Sweepstakes. In any such event, Microsoft, at its sole discretion, will select the winner(s) from eligible, non-suspect entries received prior to the event requiring such termination, suspension or cancellation. Microsoft assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries. Microsoft is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any email or entry to be received by Microsoft on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any Web site, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in this Sweepstakes.
CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THIS SWEEPSTAKES IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
Entries made by Internet will be declared made by the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at time of entry. "Authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization (e.g., business, educational, institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address.
