Recap – Korn

Jonathan Davis, vocalist of the band Korn, logged into Xbox LIVE® from Lisbon, Portugal, during a break in the band's touring schedule to play Halo® 3 with Xbox LIVE members. We got tons of mail from gamers, and it seemed like everyone had a really great time. Thanks Jonathan, for making the event such a success.

I'm a huge, huge Korn fan. I've been listening since I was thirteen, and I'm twenty-two. I'm a hardcore gamer and I'd like to thank Microsoft and Xbox® for making a dream come true for me. Who would have thought I would play my icon Jonathan Davis in a great session of Halo 3?

We played Team Slayer pink vs. red, and I was on Jonathan's team. Even though the red team showed no mercy for us, I know in my mind we came out victorious. Why? Because I had my hero Jonathan Davis by my side. Jo nathan was still trying to adjust his mic and get the Halo 3 controls down. It was so, so fun. Everybody in the room was asking him about the tour. He replied, "Yeah. It's a great tour, just can't wait to go home to my family. I haven't seen them in 2 weeks." Even though it was Team Slayer, in our minds, it was Protect the VIP. We all charged in the middle and funny as it sounds, Jonathan and I were the first to die. I will never forget this day. Thank you, Microsoft.

I got to play with the amazing Jonathan Davis, and it was FANTASTIC! As he was shooting my partner I came around the corner shooting, then meleed and knocked Jonathan malayed and knock Jonathan out of commission. I think he wasn't as bad at Halo 3 as he thought he was. I look forward to playing against more celebs in the future. Thank you Game with Fame, for letting me beat down one of the greats of rock!

I got to play Jonathan on Wednesday morning in a Snowbound Slayer match and it was one of the best matches I've been in all month! Korn rocks and I made sure to have "Life is Peachy" playing in the background while waiting to play with JD. I'm so happy I got to game with him! I still love Korn even though JD killed me, cuz I killed him once too! Korn Forever!

When I saw that Korn was gonna be on, I went to add him on my list that day and they accepted! As I was on the other team, I was only able to hear him talk in the lobby, with people asking him how many albums he had done and when he is coming to everyone's city. I was able to find him and kill him! I hit him with my rocket and sniped him in the head (sorry, Jonathan!). Anyways, I have film clips about me killing him, and two pics in my gallery section at bungie...1 is called korn and the other jonathan...don't know wich is wich but its pretty easy to find in my fileshare at bungie.

Today I got to play with Jonathan Davis of Korn. It was a ball. He was funny, interesting, and told us some info about his touring. He was a lot of fun to kill, and to be able to say that I killed Jonathan Davis in Halo … LOL. It was a great experience and I was extremely happy he invited me to the game! He was really nice, too!

Today, I played Halo 3 with Jonathan Davis from Korn. Wow, I still can't believe it. It was such a cool and surreal experience getting to interact with him through Xbox LIVE! Korn is one of my favorite bands, and it was so amazing getting to have a relaxed little chat with Jonathan in the pre-game lobby about his current European tour and other stuff. He wasn't the best player, but we had some good laughs, and I still feel kinda bad for "crouching up and down on top of his corpse" after I killed him (Sorry Jonathan, but I promised some friends the saved film of it ;)).

Today had to be the best day of my life. Playing Halo 3 with and against one of my all time favorite singers. I got an invite from him and I got all giddy and played against him the first few games. It was really hard to get some kills in, because he was a marked man by the entire red team. I have to say his pink team wasn't bad though. I got to ask him a few questions like when they're coming back to the States, when the next release is, etc. He was a great guy and didn't play all that bad, but when you have eight guys gunning for you, it's kind of hard.

I just had the chance to play Halo 3 with the most awsome singer around. Jonathan Davis of Korn was one of the nicest and most respectable gamers that I have ever played with. I got to play a couple matches with him as he was also trying to get as many people as he could in to play with him. All the gamers had a good time playing with him and we were joking around with him and just having fun. I do hope to see him on Xbox LIVE again as it would be a pleasure to play with him again.

I just got done playing Halo 3 with Jonathan Davis. It was the most amazing thing that has ever happened to me. I told all my friends about it, and they were super jealous that I got to play with him. I'm from North Royalton and nothing ever big happens here or to anybody, so this is probably going to be talked about all through the city. Playing with Jonathan Davis was a great opportunity to have. This was the best snow day of my life! Thanks a lot.

I woke up early just to have the opportunity to play with him. I asked him about ever coming to Alaska to do a show. He said that he wants to, but none of the promoters have taken him to Alaska. I also asked him if he plays any other games. He said he plays World of Warcraft a lot and has his own clan. Playing with him was great, and I hope to see Korn up in Alaska someday soon 'cause they're my favorite band of all time.

I just want to say thank you for this amazing experience. I got to play in the last few rounds with Jonathan, and it was a dream come true. Coming from a music lover, and an Xbox fanboy, I never thought I'd ever get the opportunity to say, "Hey Jonathan, let's go kill these guys" and mean it. It was an amazing experience, and I hope for another.

Not only did I get to game with Jonathan Davis, but I was the first person ever to kill him in Halo 3. Wow, what a time it was. Thanx for making my day.
