Wisin y Yandel Recap

This past week Xbox® teamed up with Zune to partner on a series of events at the Latin Grammys. As part of this we had the opportunity to work with Reggaeton megastars Wisin y Yandel who have had a bunch of number one hits on the Latin charts, and recently won the MTV Tr3s audience choice award. Wisin y Yandel have just released their new album Wisin vs. Yandel: Los Extraterrestres featuring the hit single "Sexy Movimiento." Check out the video, and look for the custom Zune device they designed that appears early on.

Wisin y Yandel took on comers in Fight Night Round 3.

One of the most exciting parts of the week was watching them take a couple hours the day before the Grammys to play their fans online in their favorite game, EA SPORTS™ Fight Night Round 3. It was clear they'd played a lot of FN3 before, as they quickly loaded all their favorite settings. They chose to play middleweight, picking Jake LaMotta almost every time, and going with button configuration number three. Despite being distracted by the media shoving cameras and microphones in their faces, the Reggaeton duo did quite well, and won most of their matches. We thought we'd share a few of the comments.

I finally got to play a Game with Fame, and it was one of my favorite artists, Wisin y Yandel. We played one match each. Wisin got me the first match, but I got Yandel on the second. He said the controller wasn't set to his setting, LOL, but he still gave me a little fight really. Didn't get to talk to them as I would have liked, due to the reporters in the room, but it was still an awesome experience. Thanks Microsoft, and Wisin y Yandel, this means a lot from a hard core gamer/music fan.
