Velvet Revolver Recap

Game with Fame took over the Sportsmen's Lodge in Century City, California for a two hour Gears Of War® session with Dave Kushner from the band Velvet Revolver. Dave also brought along a special guest, Scott Shriner from Weezer, to play along with him. Both guys are big fans of Xbox 360™ and had been practicing all week for their Game with Fame debut. Here's what some of the lucky fans who got to play with them had to say:

I got the chance to play with Velvet Revolver last night. They accepted my friend request and sent me an invite and I played three awesome rounds of Warzone at Warmachine. Me and my team beat them 3 to 2. We were cappin' heads. Thanks for the chance to play Game with Fame.

I got to play with Dave and Scott in Gears of War. It was a privilege to play with and against them, although they were not the best at the game, but I got saved by Dave once. I got the chance to play four games with them, and I got to ask each of them some questions that I and some of the others were wondering about. I think what you're doing with Game with Fame is amazing and to keep up the good work. I look forward to playing with more celebrities in the future.

I'd have to say that my only complaint
is that I never chainsawed Dave.
I played on Xbox LIVE® with Dave Kushner from Velvet Revolver. It was really fun. I could hardly believe it was actually happening. He asked if everyone was here for the Game with Fame. Everyone replied yeah, and Dave started the game. Dave was being bombarded with questions and was trying to answer all of them.

I was one of the few to play with Dave (Velvet Revolver), and Scott (Weezer). I had a great time. I was on the Locust team, and we dominated! I got 4 kills, including a round, and game winning kill with a frag-tag. I got three invites, but was only able to make it into one game. Thanks again, Dave and Scott, keep rock alive!

I just got done playing some matches with Dave from Velvet Revolver and I must say that it was quite fun! I got to do around 3 matches with him and he seemed to get better every time! Everyone seemed to have a good time and the matches were mostly always good and close. I'd have to say that my only complaint is that I never chainsawed Dave.

I really had a cool time playing with Dave and Scott. They are not too bad in the rock business, but in the killing business, not so good. LOL … just poking fun! I got to play with them three times. I never got on Velvet's team but it was fun crushing him on Warzone. He actually talked to me, and said "Nice shot." I really didn't think that they would be so responsive to what when on in the game. One funny thing that happened when I joined was when this little kid, I guess he was so excited, he wouldn't shut up about Velvet Revolver and their songs. It was actually kind of funny.
I really had a good time and would like to thank you for taking time off to let me and others to play with you. I can't wait till the next Game with Fame. Velvet, I love your music. Weezer, you too. Can't wait for more music. YOU GUYS ROCK!!!

I just played with Velvet Revolver. This was one of the sweetest things that has ever happened to me on Xbox LIVE for the past 3 years. I would like to thank Dave from Velvet Revolver and Steve from Weezer for playing with me:)
