Game With FamePlay Against Celebrities On Xbox LIVE! Live from the Power Summit
Hip hop's premiere music conference The Power Summit is being held in the Dominican Republic this year, and Xbox LIVE® is giving you a shot at playing your favorite Xbox 360™ games with three big-name attendees: Black Ty a.k.a. Tyrese, Clipse, and Mike Jones. Black Ty Model-turned-movie hunk Tyrese Gibson is returning to his musical roots this autumn (06) with a double album that shows off his rap and R&B talents. The Annapolis star will record one album of smooth R&B, while a second hip-hop project will be recorded under the alter-ego Black Ty. Both personas will also release simultaneous singles.
Black Ty is ready to race. Gibson is trying to make sure his rap debut is a big success after signing up the genre's heavyweights as collaborators—Snoop Dogg, The Game, Paul Wall, Ice Cube And David Banner are among the stars making appearances on the record. The actor boasts, "Everybody and their mama's on the album; I got the whole hip-hop gang behind me." Busy Gibson is also currently working on 2007 blockbuster Transformers after starring in summer sleeper hit Waist Deep with rap pal The Game. Clipse Hailing from Virginia, Clipse—brothers Pusha T and Malice—were one of the rare first artists to associate with the Neptunes. The Neptunes' Pharrell Williams first met the duo in the early nineties, was very impressed by their talents, and decided to help them get a gig. Hooking them up with the Elektra label, an early single flopped and the group seemed done, even though an album's worth of material had been recorded.
Step into the ring with Clipse. Williams was not discouraged and continued to hype the group until Arista finally intervened in 2001. Williams and partner Chad Hugo stepped behind the boards and produced Lord Willin', Clipse's 2002 full-length debut, released through Star Trak/Arista. On the strength of "Grindin'," the album hit the Top Ten of the R&B/Hip-Hop and Billboard 200 charts and eventually went gold. The Sony-BMG merger threw the follow-up into limbo and sparked a long bout of legal snags between Clipse and their new parent label, Jive. While the delay was going on, Clipse issued a series of mixtapes and set up the Re-Up label. The label disputes were eventually cleared up, and Hell Hath No Fury was given a projected street date of October 31, 2006. Mike Jones Born and raised in Houston, Mike Jones has always had an eye on the future while laying the foundation to climb the ladder of success. Jones' first love has always been basketball, but when his hoop dream did not materialize, he realized that he had to make money to become his own man. As most hoods Biggie described, either you're slinging crack rock or got a wicked jump shot.
Test your Madden skills against Mike Jones Jones began to hustle by squandering his money to create Ice Age Entertainment in 2001 to pursue his other love: rapping. Remember the name Mike Jones, because he will not let you forget it. If you get a chance to play with Black Ty, Clipse, or Mike Jones we want to hear about us.
