Q. Is the technology shown in the video preview real? When can I get it?

A. The technology shown in the video is real and is intended to demonstrate the types of experiences we'll be bringing to market. This is just one example of what’s possible as we explore new ways to interact with our technology. As to a specific product or timeline, we look forward to sharing more in the future.

Q. Was this a result of the collaboration between the Kinect and mobile teams at Microsoft?

A. Absolutely. Products like Kinect and Windows Phone 7 are the collective work of thousands of people with diverse specialties across the company. The successful launch of Xbox LIVE on Windows Phone 7 was a great example of how these teams have worked together to create a compelling cross-platform experience, and we’re excited to continue down that path.

Q. Is this technology exclusive to Kinect, or will it also enable phone-to-console experiences with a controller?

A. Our goal is to connect you to your friends and entertainment in innovative ways and on multiple platforms, this includes Kinect controller-free games and entertainment as well as controller-based experiences.
