Join Xbox Live - Setup a New Xbox Live Account

Below you'll find the instructions you'll need to setup a new account. Please note there are slight differences in setting up an Xbox Live account depending on whether you have created your gamer profile or not.

Setup 1: Before creating a gamer profile

Use these instructions if you have just unpacked your console and switched it on for the first time and have not yet setup a Gamer Profile.

Setup 2: After creating a gamer profile

Use these instructions if you have already set up a Gamer Profile on your Xbox 360 and have been playing games offline.

Setup 3: Child Account

Use these instructions if you want to setup an Xbox Live membership for your child from the Xbox

Note that if you haven't setup your Xbox 360 yet you will need to Create a Gamer Profile before you are able to follow these instructions.
