Lost Cities found on Xbox LIVE Arcade
Lost Cities is the award-winning card game in which players mount expeditions into one or more of the world’s five forgotten capitals in search of wealth. Intriguing, no? Well, a very special Xbox LIVE Arcade edition is now available that features 60 different cards on a specially designed board, and up to four players competing against each other – sharing the Xbox 360, or across Xbox LIVE.
Lost Cities has proven itself a gigantically popular card game, and in 2000 won the coveted International Gamers award. It joins the likes of Carcassonne and Settlers of Catan in bringing the very finest in board games to Xbox 360. Critically-acclaimed game designer Reiner Knizia first created Lost Cities in 1999. Nine successful years later we have this specially adapted Xbox LIVE Arcade version bringing full HD support, video chat, live stats and worldwide leaderboards. Lost Cities gameplay is surprisingly fast-moving for a card game. Players must discard and then replace a card each turn while trying to further their progress in up to five different expeditions to the lost cities of the Himalayas, Brazilian Rain Forest, Desert Sands, Ancient Volcanos and the deeps of Neptune's Realm. Be warned: if you start an expedition but fail to thoroughly chart the lost city you’ll not only lose explorer kudos but incur a negative point penalty! However, make full progress in an expedition and you’ll earn bagfuls of points and of course the player boasting the most points at the end of three rounds is declared the winner. Lost Cities costs 800 Microsoft Points. |
