Xbox 360 Gets Boarded!

While the Xbox world gets ready for Xbox Big Day Out 2007 the Xbox.com team are busy beavering away from our temporary new home in Val D’Isere. But don’t worry, we’re here to bring you the latest news direct from the event instead of breaking our necks on the piste.

We’re nestled among a bevy of TV crews and snowboarding superstars today for the highly anticipated Game with Fame featuring UK snowboarders Scott McMorris and Tyler Davis.  Earlier today they were tearing down the slopes to qualify for the finals of the Xbox Big Day Out 2007 with the best tricks they could muster.  Scott McMorris had a storming day and already looks set to smash some records in the finals on the hip ramp we’ve built here.

That’s enough about the boarders though – what you really want to know about is the games.  With a warm-up session featuring upcoming titles Guitar Hero II and UEFA Champion’s League, the snowboarders prepared for their toughest challenge of the day in their PGR 3 session.  The competition was fierce and ultimately, while their skills on the slopes are unsurpassed, there was some hot talent taking them on over Xbox Live.

The gamers started off the event with an early lead, but by the end with the help of a few Ferrari F50 GTs, the snowboarders proved their mettle in a few winning races.  The question is, you may be able to beat them on Xbox Live, but would you really stand a chance on the slopes of Val D’Isere?  We certainly wouldn’t!
