| | Project Natal inspires World Leaders from the global videogame industry are getting right behind "Project Natal", the ground-breaking no controller required technology for Xbox 360. During the Tokyo Game Show (TGS) this week, software pioneers spoke about how Project Natal will redefine the way we enjoy Xbox 360 games and entertainment.
Although only recently unveiled in America last July, Japan’s largest games creators that include Capcom, Konami, Namco Bandai, Sega and Square Enix have already begun shaping the future with Project Natal. They join Activision Blizzard, Bethesda Softworks, Disney Interactive, Electronic Arts, MTV Games, THQ Inc. and Ubisoft, ushering in a new era of previously unimaginable experiences for everyone to enjoy. Three of Japan’s most famous games industry leaders joined Xbox 360 on stage to explain why Project Natal is helping to inspire new ideas. Capcom’s Keiji Inafune, creator of "Mega Man" and "Dead Rising," Sega’s Toshihiro Nagoshi, creator of "Super Monkey Ball," and Konami’s Hideo Kojima, creator of the "Metal Gear Solid" series gave their support to the use of sight, sound and motion as the new way of interacting with your Xbox 360. Keiji Inafune, head of Research & Development Management Group at Capcom said: "I am extremely excited about ‘Project Natal.’ It’s really going to stir up our creative spirits. I think it’s going to bring new ways to play and new surprises to Xbox 360 fans and help further the development of completely original content. ‘Project Natal’ is definitely something people should look out for." EA Sports President Peter Moore also enthused that, "‘Project Natal could fundamentally change the way players experience sports games. At EA, some of our top development teams are experimenting with these tools with the goal of delivering a completely fresh take on genres like sports and racing." Project Natal proves just how forward thinking the guys at Xbox really are, and we can’t wait to see the results from the big guns mentioned above. Meanwhile, another Xbox 360 trailblazing concept, Xbox LIVE Arcade, will be receiving new games that include "Toy Soldiers," "Snoopy Flying Ace," "Bomberman Live: Battlefest" and "RayStormHD." So we’ll have plenty to keep our hands on the controller until it is no longer required! |
