The Fable II Pub Game collection is a pack of three casino-style games that can earn you gold for when you begin your new adventure. By playing “Keystone”, “Spinnerbox” and “Fortune’s Tower” you can fund your Fable II bank account to purchase the likes of weapons, armour, houses and even some cool tricks to teach your faithful dog – handier than you might think. You’ll have plenty of time from 13 August to start building a small fortune, but let’s examine your odds here before getting started. “Keystone” mostly resembles Roulette but has elements of the dice game Craps thrown in for good measure. Either way this is all down to luck. “Spinnerbox” gives you slightly more control because it is based on slot machines. However we’d say “Fortune’s Tower” is where the most excitement lies, a press-your-luck style game that challenges you to accumulate the perfect hand. Either way, it’s probably best that you spend time with the tutorial that comes part of the download from Xbox LIVE Marketplace. If you decide to pre-order Fable II at a participating retailer you’ll be given access to the Fable II download free of charge. For everyone else, this terrific collection of entertaining mini-games will cost 800MS points. Fable II will be released as a standard edition and Limited Collector’s Edition, and so pre-ordering is advised if you’re keen to take the latter home.
