The legendary Metal Gear Solid series will make its Xbox 360 debut with an exclusive adventure created for your favourite console.
This new game will be called Metal Gear Solid: Rising and will star Raiden – the cool-as-ice FOXHOUND operative who made his first appearance in Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty. Now battle hardened and scarred, Raiden reclaims the leading role from veteran Solid Snake. Fans have been waiting for such a moment since being first introduced to this visually stylish yet deeply disturbed hero.
For those of you who may not know, Raiden is in fact mostly a cyborg constructed from synthetic fibre based on his original DNA. All that remains of the man are his spine, upper skull and eyes. For Metal Gear Solid: Rising he looks mostly human, however, thanks to a new kind of body developed by the military.
News of Metal Gear Solid: Rising broke during the E3 show taking place this week in Los Angeles. Nobody, but nobody, expected this. Series producer Hideo Kojima took the stage to make the announcement in person. As with all Metal Gear Solid titles this will be a work of art for Kojima and Konami Digital Entertainment.
