Hey, we just spat our drinks all over our prized gig t-shirts! What for? Well you’d better take a good swallow because we’re here to tell you Xbox 360 Avatars are part of the show in Guitar Hero 5.
Yes, in-game Avatar support is rolling out with Guitar Hero 5. This means that your prized Xbox 360 alter-ego will soon be performing on stage with the likes of Judy Nails, Axel Steel and Lars Ümlaüt or alongside in-game talent such as lick-smith Carlos Santana and Country & Western legend Johnny Cash.
Now we know this is already insane, but to make it even crazier you’ll also have chance to take your Xbox 360 Avatars into Create-A-Rocker mode and slither into exclusive Guitar Hero clothing and accessories. We can think of no better way to get the most out of the 85-song set list that Guitar Hero 5 has lined up. Imagine how great this will look when you and your friends are all up there playing!
And on that sustained, massively distorted and metal overtoned note we’d also like to remind you that Guitar Hero 5 allows you to jam using any in-game instrument combination, which means multiple vocals, guitars, bass or indeed drums, in any game mode. And thanks to the new Party Play Mode, your friends on Xbox LIVE can drop-in or drop-out of the jam session any time.
The Rolling Stones, The White Stripes, Kings of Leon, Tom Petty, Bob Dylan and Vampire Weekend are just the tip of the iceberg for the coolest Guitar Hero line-up we’ve ever witnessed. And now, of course, this includes YOU!
Keep rocking, guys, and don’t worry about our t-shirts. They’ve survived a lot worse.
