Halo 3 Legendary Map Pack launches
Brace yourself for more intense Halo 3 multiplayer action because the “Legendary Map Pack” is here! This collection of three new incredible maps from Bungie will cost you 800 Microsoft Points from Xbox LIVE Marketplace, and is available from 15 April.
Let’s take these in alphabetical order because we’d be here all day trying to choose a favourite. "Avalanche" is your excuse to ride the many vehicles made famous by the Halo series, but retuned for the snowy battlefield. Avalanche is actually a tribute to the “Sidewinder” map from Halo: Combat Evolved, but has been massively revamped for Xbox 360. Next up (unless our knowledge of the alphabet fails us!) is “Blackout”, with its foundations in “Lockout” – the fan favourite from Halo 2. This is actually the same basic design as Lockout, but you won’t believe the graphical overhaul it has received. Sometimes we’re forgetting how much Xbox 360 really has moved things on graphically, but classic gameplay lives forever. Finally there’s “Ghost Town”, which is brand new to the series. We’ve created this medium-size map to suit Team Slayer games, so expect to be kept very busy indeed. Don’t be surprised to find your pulse racing as you navigate the rabbit warren of passages or emerge onto the rooftops with the ground far below. All of the above plus great new Forge options make the Legendary Map Pack essential – especially for just 800 Microsoft Points.
