Fallout 3 spreads wider

New quests heading this way for one of the most astonishing games of 2008, Fallout 3. Between January and March 2009 three new missions will be made available to all post-apocalyptic adventurers. Each one delivers a new destination, new goals and other great content to bolster the formidable Fallout 3 experience.

Fallout 3, Xbox 360, Xbox LIVE Marketplace

The first is “Operation: Anchorage”, released in January. In fact a virtual mission, taking place within a military simulation, but recreating the legendary Liberation of Anchorage, Alaska. Your role is to drive out the Chinese Communist invaders after enduring a long, hard-fought battle.

In February we’ll see “The Pitt”, named after an industrial raider town on the site of what used to be Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Fallout lore has it that if there were still any laws to abide 200 years after a nuclear war, the raiders would be the outlaws! In “The Pitt” you must choose which raider faction to represent.

Finally “Broken Steel” completes the series in March, in which you are most specifically required to assist the Brotherhood of Steel in its campaign to weed out the last remaining Enclave representatives from Capital Wasteland. You know they’re not going to give up their cruel reign so easily…

Fallout 3 is a unique and very convincing experience for Xbox 360, immersing you in a world haunted by radiation, besieged by mutated creatures and as such is irresistible. At your disposal is one of the most versatile character-creation systems yet devised, and from thereon in limitless freedom to choose physical pathways and personality routes to make your time spent salvaging old Washington DC unique.

Enjoy your holiday, counting the days for the first Fallout 3 downloadable goodness arriving via Xbox LIVE Marketplace in the new year.
