How would you like to take part in a live quiz show from the comfort of your own home? How about if we told you that this was “1 vs. 100”, the hottest quiz show in the world? From 10 July Xbox LIVE Gold subscribers could win Microsoft Points, Arcade games, an HD TV and more by taking part in “1 vs. 100 (beta) Season 1”.
“1 vs. 100 (beta) Season 1” is a special Xbox LIVE edition of the “1 vs. 100” show that will air between 7.30-9.30pm on Fridays and Saturdays, presented by our live host James McCourt who you may know from The National Lottery. Just like the TV show upon which it is based, “1 vs. 100 (beta) Season 1” selects one person, known as The One, from thousands of Xbox LIVE Gold volunteers to go up against a panel of 100 contestants chosen to stand as The Mob.
Here’s how it works: Each time The One answers correctly he or she wins prizes to add to a growing stash. If The One answers incorrectly however they’ll lose everything gained so far. Now, everyone in The Mob also stands a chance of winning prizes by answering correctly. Each time somebody from The Mob gets it wrong they can no longer win but may still take part for the fun of it. Those that remain get a larger share of the prizes. It’s almost as thrilling to watch as it is to take part, and of course – this being Xbox LIVE – you can be the crowd too (who might also win a little something).
When the ultimate prize for the season is a Fiat 500 CAR !, with other prizes including Samsung 46" Crystal TV LCD TV 1080p & Samsung Home Cinema System it’ll be hard knowing when to quit. There’s also a Samsung Q210 - Pentium Dual Core T3400 Laptop and Casio Ex-FH20 SLR Digital Camera up for grabs in the sweepstakes that launch at the start of “1 vs. 100 (beta) Season 1” – that’s 00:01 on 10 July. And even that’s not all because starting from the second week there will be Skill Prizes allocated that include more digital cameras, HD TVs, holiday vouchers and laptop PCs.
So you can see how “1 vs. 100 (beta) Season 1” on Xbox LIVE will be a blast for everyone involved. And to make sure that this really does mean everyone on Xbox LIVE, Silver members will be granted free access to Xbox LIVE multiplayer gaming for the weekend of 17-19 July. And, yes, this means prize-winning opportunities too.
