Becoming an Xbox Live Gold Member is easy.

You need a storage device, such as the Xbox 360 Hard Drive or the Xbox 360 Memory Unit, and a headset if you want to voice chat.

How to get started:

1. Connect your Xbox 360 to your broadband connection using the Ethernet cable provided (or an Xbox 360 Wireless Networking Adapter, sold separately)
   
   
   
2. When you create a gamer profile during setup, choose I want to join Xbox Live to create a new Xbox Live account

Gold Membership costs £39.99 for 12 months and £14.99 for 3 months.

You can pay with your credit card or buy one of our new prepaid Xbox Live cards - available at retail game stores around the country.
