No credit card required

"I can't sign up because I don't have a credit card yet" or "My parents won't give me their number" don't sound great in conversation. Or maybe you have a credit card but are worried it might be abused by your brother, sister or flatmate.

With the launch of Xbox 360™, these worries all disappear with the prepay Xbox Live® card.

No credit card? No problem

The new prepay Xbox Live cards do away with that annoying credit card requirement. Of course, you can still use your credit card - for many that's the most convenient solution. But now you have another option. The prepaid card simplifies your Xbox Live experience. There are two types:

  • Membership Cards: Choose how you sign up to be an Xbox Live Gold Member with twelve-month or three-month subscriptions.
  • Microsoft Points: These are points to spend at Xbox Live Marketplace, where you can access free downloadable trailers and demos, or use your Microsoft Points to buy exciting content that will enhance your gaming experience.

Available in store

The cards will be available at retail game stores around the country, so you can pick one up when you want - there's no need to order.

No override

Concerned parents can rest assured. Your Family Settings on Xbox 360 cannot be overridden by these cards. If you use the parental controls on Xbox 360, you can be confident your children won't be able to access or download any content you have decided is inappropriate.

The cards make setting up your membership or access to Xbox Live Marketplace content easy and convenient.

Remember, every Xbox 360 game can be played on Xbox Live. Buy one of the Points cards and get even more cool stuff to enhance your gaming and entertainment experience on Xbox Live Marketplace. And best of all, there's no need to worry about a credit card.
