Here's how to get started:

Step 1: Get Access to High-Speed Internet Service

Step 2: Find Your Free Trial Subscription Code
Your free trial subscription code is located at the bottom of the 48-Hour Gold Trial Card included in the EA SPORTS™ 2006 FIFA World Cup™ game for Xbox 360.

Step 3: Activate Your Account

1. Connect your Xbox 360™ to a broadband Internet connection.
2. Press the Xbox Guide button and, in the Xbox 360 Dashboard, select Xbox Live.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions to create your Xbox Live Silver account.
4. Sign in to Xbox Live from the Xbox 360 Dashboard.
5. Select Xbox Live Marketplace.
6. Select Redeem Prepaid Card or Promotional Code; when prompted, enter your code, and enjoy!

What Happens After the Trial Period?
So your 48 hours went too fast, huh? Well, don't fret; you can keep your game going. It's super easy! Here are a few simple ways to handle it …

Grab your credit card and renew directly through your Xbox 360 so that you don’t let a moment of gaming goodness slip away! Just visit the Xbox 360 Dashboard and sign up for 12 months of Xbox Live Gold Membership.

Don’t want to use a credit card? Visit your local gaming retailer and grab a 12-month membership card. Commitment-phobe? You can also pick up a three-month membership card.

If you do not want to continue your Xbox Live Gold membership, you can cancel at any time by calling 0800 587 1102 .

If you don’t choose to renew your Gold subscription then your account will revert to free Silver membership.  You will continue to be able to access features such as the Xbox Live Marketplace and your Friends list but you’ll no longer be able to play competitive multiplayer games online.  For more information on the Silver membership, click here.
